Thank you for joining me. I'm delighted to share some of my knitting with you, but my choice of venue came with a (small) price today. First the birds, then the occasional gust of wind (the windshield on my microphone was a little askew apparently), and then, well, you'll see for yourself. I hope you''ll shrug at the outdoor keeping-it-real ambience (and that you can hear me!)

Feel free to check out the ones listed and add any you think should be included in the comments section (while keeping it realistic; I probably won’t be adding 50 names), and if all else fails, remember Google is your friend. I really love your quotes from authors and Aristotle. I think your knitting is beautiful. Thank you for sharing, I like the idea of putting sticky notes on the line of projects, and how you can change the order and not have to think about what is up next. The tour of your summer holiday on Santorini was wonderful. It was so inspiring. I have only read about the Greek islands from books and to see the cities, the whiteness of everything, the hot pink bougavilla was amazing draping all over the walls. It is fun getting to know the diverse life you live and enjoy. I hope you put aside the hats that don't fit and keep being yourself.

Good evening Helle! I am so happy you are here and I enjoy your podcast very much! I work at The Lamb and Kid and enjoyed meeting and helping Sherri out when putting together the yarn for a project you had in mind. It did not occur to me that she was sending you the yarn because the colors were so different than anything I have seen you knit! However, I was thrilled to know that you love the yarn and will create a luxurious garment! I have several sweaters knitted in Big Birdie and cannot get enough! Two more of Sarah's bases I think you would enjoy is Elmer Fingering held with Birdie= pure luxe! I hope you enjoy your knitting with Big Birdie and explore more options! BTW, Sherri is a treasure! ❤

How delightful to read your comment and to know you had a hand in finding the yarn 😍 Thank you! Yes, I guess it’s kind of a departure for me, although not entirely. And I do find it exciting to explore new territory from time to time 🥰 I hope I will be able to do the luscious yarn and colors justice 🤞🏻The combination you mention is one I would also love to try at some point (if only you weren’t so far away 😽). And yes, Sherie is amazing! All the best, Helle🩷

I do not understand why some folks need to make negative comments- they can scroll on by. As my my mum would say, if you can’t find something kind to say, say nothing. So many lovely projects and yarns again today. I love how blending several yarns can so change the colour and texture- fascinating and fun. That dark blue colour and test knit pattern looks intriguing. Like you, I need very soft yarn on my neck. I knit the Elton, by Joji Locatelli, in black- it’s similar to the other test knit you are doing in that it stripes fingering and mohair. It took me many months to do. I set the project bag by my chair and it became my half hour if knitting in good light each morning- eventually it was done and I so love it.I always have several projects on the go to suit my mood, surroundings, mind space and hand pain. The Lamb and Kid yarn looks so amazing. I hope to go to Seattle someday and head to Bainbridge Island. I live in the interior of BC Canada and it is about a 6 hour drive to Seattle where I several cousins and a nephew live. One cousin is also a knitter, so maybe we could make a fun day of going yarn shopping. Our Canadian dollar and mailing costs really discourage purchasing many lovely yarns. I have started the Lotus Lake socks by Anniina Juuti, a Finnish designer and a you tube blogger. I am loving it- most complicated sock pattern I have ever made. The yarn shop you videoed is so beautiful- I would be like a kid in a candy store. We lost our last yarn shop in my city during COVID. 😕 Thanks for another lovely episode. The birds and the changing weather were a delight.

I love that baby blue summer top a lot. I also love the shirt and skirt with the white and blue stripes. 🙂 Very fresh and summery. Lucky you are back home from Greece now, because they are having a horrendous heat wave in Greece now, with fires. My sister lives in Greece, near the bulgarien border. She has a sheep farm there. She tells me it is so hot, that they still have 28°Celsius at night and over 40 during the day. I love those prescious stone stitchmarkers a lot. When I have special stitch markers, I sometimes wear them as a necklace, just threading through a nice chain. 🙂 That pink embroidered bag is just devine! I love it. I do quiet some embroidery myself and I sew handbags as well, amongst many other things, lol. Can`t wait to see that fluffy dress in all those "crazy" colours. Actually I think they will look so stunning together. Huggs from Fairy Tale Cottage, Schurwald Forest, Germany. 🥰

Hi Helle, I love how you handle those people who would judge others with negative comments. We are supposed to lift each other up, motivate, and inspire each other. I would like to say to them, "If you don't have anything NICE to say - DO NOT say anything. BE KIND and CONSIDERATE!" I also love your knitting and the calm tone you produced. Your knitting has inspired me so much that I just want to make everything you made or making LOL. I did just finish the JONI tee because of you 😛. In U S, I could find the yarn the pattern called for, so I substituted with cotton and alpaca. The finish product came out just as beautiful and comfortable, I think LOL.😛

As to the color/compliments/critique comments…personally I knit a lot of variety of shawls etc with many colors, kind of spontaneously, and often I don’t love what I knit. 🥺. I admire you for the clear sense of your style and how you achieve that so beautifully in your knitting wardrobe. I would LOVE to have input from someone who could help me focus better. At 62 I want to knit more garments I will love and wear, and you make it look so easy! I’m an excellent knitter but I’m perplexed how my style doesn’t usually dictate what I knit. Something to contemplate especially as I destash to relocate my stash from a studio to my home. I’m creating a shelf for projects in the queue, so maybe that’s the first step toward more practical garment knitting in my favorite style. Love your videos, thanks for the time you give us. ❤

Thank you for all the woolly content as well as such wise purls (pearls) of wisdom. Be safe in your travels - maybe there won't be yarn shops when you are visiting but maybe there are knitters who would like to show you what they are knitting and would consent to you photographing their creations. I knit to your travel episodes and LOVE that you share them. Many of the podcasts I watch feature surroundings. I especially love Fiber Trek in case you are not familiar, Sarah lives in Maine (USA) and knits, spins, weaves, sews, (quilts), makes journals, prints, etc, etc....and I live in Michigan. She is calm and nature oriented....visits farms from time to time and fiber events. There is such a broad spectrum of podcasting out there. I am glad to have found so many after I retired and not before. 🧶

I love both of your video styles. Being able to see your home, garden, country as well as your knitting is wonderful. Thank you for sharing with all of us! I am in admiration of your knitting too. I cannot knit but adapt this style now into crocheted garments. By using quality yarns with and adapting patterns, I am able to get a little of the knit look I so love. You inspire me! 🧶

Hello Helle, I‘ve just recently discovered your channel and am greatly enjoying backing my way through your episodes. I appreciate your thoughtful approach to your videos (knitting and travel) and come away feeling both entertained and informed. I also truly love: your garden! Never ever apologize for sitting outside when you can!! Living in Berlin, I know how short the northern summers can be - you want to soak up every moment you can, loud birds and neighbors included! 😂 Also love your styling clips!! Not all podcasters do this, but it’s really fun to see - a mini fashion show on my screen. 😊 And I adore your quotes. In fact, your quotes had me scrolling through your videos to hear more. Your Kutaar top turned out beautifully in my opinion, and I was furiously knitting on the last few centimeters as I watched a few episodes. I am a slow knitter, and it is slow going, to be sure. I had to laugh when you mentioned checking your progress and seeing it was less than you thought it would be!! Yes! I‘ve been knitting evenings on the balcony and deliberately do not take the measuring tape with me to avoid frustration! Can’t wait to see more!

Thanks for another lovely podcast and for the list of Nordic/Scandinavia designers. I will check out their patterns and add some more to my Ravelry queue. Also, I noticed the colors of your Lamb and Kid yarn matches many of the colors in the embroidery on your knit bag beside you. Enjoy your trip to Sweden. Happy Knitting.

Helle, it is confusing to me why anyone would think it is acceptable to tell you that a color is not “right for you”, or “doesn’t suit you”, or that any of your attire is “not feminine”. Without knowing you in real life and personally, that is such a superficial comment. Silly. 🧐 Your comments on what to do with feedback we receive is absolutely spot-on. That certainly helps our mental health, in situations like that. ☺️. Great episode. Lovely knits. And I must know where you got that adorable bag that was sitting beside you outside! THE COLORS!!!! Glorious!🥰. Keep being you. It is such a pleasure to share little snippets of time knitting while you share your makes, acquisitions, and deep thoughts.

Love the garden with the sound of birds. Did you realize that your Lamb and Kid yarn matches your bag? I love all your boxy sweaters and your travelogues. You inspire so many people to make beautiful things. I did see a post on IG from Forever Yarn, Doylestown, PA with progress on the Busan Sweater in a beautiful orange. What a small world it becomes. I listen to a lot of knitting podcasts and I may have heard about you from The Knitting Posse, it’s hard to remember after a while. They were lovely when I met them at Vogue Knitting Live NYC. Keep on making these videos. I look forward to seeing Sweden

I'm excited for the knit along! So many beautiful patterns to choose from. I think your knitting bag is the cutest I have ever seen! A word about questionable comments: The words of negative folks reflect more on their own opinions and likes than on you. I think most people look fabulous in whatever makes them smile. You looks wonderful in pale colors AND in bright colors. Enjoy your new yarn and I will smile when I see you wearing that sweater!

Thank you Helle for keeping me company on this rainy and uncomfortable sunday afternoon! We have similar weather here in northern Germany, hoping for more sunshine again soon. As always I loved everything you talked about and your new yarn looks amazingly squishy, looking forward to see what it will become! ☺️ I‘ve been once at Tante Grøn years before and loved this cute shop, all the samples hanging around are so inspiring and I love the colour palette of their own yarn too. I have a similar way to plan my future projects - I have a knitting journal and on one page I can stick my Post-its with planned projects and move them around. (it‘s a selfmade journal, I covered one page first with a lovely design-paper and after that covered it with transparent sticky tape (tesa)) And I love the way you reacted to ‚negative‘ comments, have to go back to that part to remember the quote you mentioned from a Lady, that was brilliant! I will definitely join your KAL - additions to your list of designers: Susie Haumann and Lone Kjelsen from Denmark and Veera Välimäki from Finland btw I also enjoyed your vlog from Santorin very much! Best wishes Astrid

Oh, I totally understand what you mean about the lace pattern on the Kuutar Top! This lace pattern is quite challenging, because it is worked flat. it would be so much easier if it were knitted in the round with a circular yoke - which would be something totally different - in which you would be able to see what you are doing in the right side. I've even had moments where I considered knitting the back part in stockinette.. 😊 Now the lacework and the straps are done for me, it's like the stockinette section is never-ending! My top is still waiting for me to pick it up and finish.. 🙃 btw, I love your choice on that icy color, really great match with your icy blonde hair! 👌🏻
