A Last Look at the Elder Scrolls Legends - Spider Lair Deck

Thank you for giving that game the last hurrah! Really glad Gwent got the Balance Council to keep the meta moving, such as it is. I never really got into TESL -- between the expensive progression, the non-variable card soundlines and the same problems that plague Hearthstone nowadays, I feel it never had the finesse I seek. But there was beauty in it, regardless. And when you finally get a good deck, I can see how it can be a good game.

Gwent is quite generous for FTP, although I do wonder if that contributed to end of support by not making enough money. TESL was fun but it took a lot of effort to unlock everything especially with 3 copies for a lot of legendries. It was a nice gesture from the devs to make everything in the game free (1 gold, basically free) once they announced it was shutting down a couple months ago at least so people could try everything out.

@@platinumpatrol2964 TESL was less generous, and it didn't even get the Balance Council in. I think the political shift in 2022 contributed way more to Gwent's end of development -- it's a Witcher game and many players hail from Eastern Europe after all.

This looks so cool, is so sad to see a game like this go away forever, I also think about Gwent who will eventually end up like this and I think I would destroyed by how much I love it. I'm with TESL fan, is so sad when you can't play the game you love.

I personally have faith that CDPR is going to stand by their word when they said they'll be keeping the servers up forever

Could be high hopes but I think that Gwent could see a revival and official support again when Witcher 4 comes out and people play Gwent in the singleplayer

I think it's reasonable to expect an increase in interest. It does depend on how its implemented within Witcher 4 though.

It was a lot of fun. I actually only got into Gwent because they announced the end of support for Elder Scrolls Legends at the same time as Gwent: Homecoming and I decided to try that out.
