Warner Richmond lived next to my grandparents in North Hollywood for a time. He always played a heavy, but, I remember him as a nice guy since he gave me ice cream cones when I was 5 or 6.

t 127 That is a beautiful white horse! Also, at 1:03 those bad guy shooting at the man and woman act like they never handled a gun before in their lives. Like someone handed them the guns and said "Now, get with it!".

White horses are a beautiful nightmare to me. I had take horse riding lessons for a couple of months and ended up with a part time job taking care of helping around the stable and cleaning a palomino and a white horse. I remember shampooing the horse's white tails and using a few drops of laundry bluing in the water..... the tails had to be soft and spotless ..... time consuming!

I counted at least 28 shots from both of them. Even if they both had 6 shooters that seems at least 4 too many! Our hero should have noticed that and gone after them!

These 30s westerns with Mack and McCoy etc which I love watching usually had a girl like Beth mess up the good guy with false accusations or make him make dumb promises, get him arrested or spill his plan only to end in the good guy ultimately winning and getting the femme fatale who woulda got him killed 😂

Al St. John was better as s store keeper than a riding side kick, but he was a good sidekick too.

These are old films of the first westerns. Be grateful we can watch them for what they are - the founding actors and filmmakers. Before film was stories like this on radio only. There were silent films between and sound b/w silent and color. It’s progress to be grateful fir those who were “in the process”. At least these have better morals and values than today’s trashy.

Charles King was just starting to gain weight when making this movie. Later, he was downright fat.

All these movies were all the same theme. If you seen one, you seen them all. I counted 36 shots out of 2 - 6 guns to start the movie, that could only fire 12 shots. When I was a kid I watched them with enthusiasm. Now they’re so phoney it makes me puke. 20 guys riding in a posse were constantly shooting wildly all over the place, the friendly fire would have killed half of them. Thinking about it today it’s just dangerously stupid and fake.

We all could be critical of these early movies. Yes, there are an awful lot of details in these movies that wouldn't be done in today's movies. Think about who these films were meant for, and the times these movies were made. Take a step in yesterday, and watch the movie from that point of view.

Don't watch them if you can't stand them. They were made in a time for entertainment. They were clean, the good guys were of moral character and the bad guys were brought to justice. Today's movies push mostly immorality.
