So much good information here. We all know that values and color are important, but learning how to lay the paint down is just as important, and rarely covered.

I paint miniatures (fantasy & scifi figures) with acrylics and sometimes oils. Amazing how much (if not all) of what you teach applies to what I do. Looking outside my hobby helps a great deal and your channel is a large part of that. Thanks for your work!

I was just researching on it! I wish to push oil to the thinnest layers. I would like to work with oil this way. Yet I keep doing thick opaque layers... Do you think synthetic brushes has anything to do with it?

I hear the light over dark for years. But in all these years my experience is always the opposite. Paintign light over darks always makes a mess. I have much better results doing the opposite
