We did it in black and white because there's a beautiful sense of unity that we saw in the streets of Mattancherry and we want to showcase that visually by the consistency of black and white. :) But you are right, the place is stunning in colour also :)

I would like to inform you that the information you collected is incomplete. Maharashtrian families are staying at Mattancherry from the last 200 years. They have their own Temple at Mattancherry. There are 2 roads namely Pandithan Temple Road and Gopalkrishna Temple Avenue. The Temple is in between these road. I am surprised how you omitted this.

Yes we are aware of that Gajanan. That beautiful temple features in some of the shots in the film, we also have some portraits from the very generous Marathi community in there. Unfortunately since there are 39 beautiful communities, we couldn't include them all in the narrative of our small film. We hope to make another short film soon to capture what we have missed in the first time. Also Biju's photo exhibition is still present at the Islamic Art Heritage Gallery contains stories from all of the communities present in the wonderful Mattancherry.
