What aspects are you referring to please? Generally speaking most of the signatures probably come under some aspect of postmodernism. However, I wouldn't say "Pulp Fiction" is especially experimental.

I disagree with your style over substance comment, especially about how cool the characters are. Yea they are cool, but not for the sake of being cool, the majority of the characters are vain and greedy. All of their cool wallets and such emphasize how much they care about their self indulgence. In my opinion the “cool” factor is often used in his films to showcase character development/ opinions. We usually like the “cool” even on the villains.
