Hi, I enjoyed your photography/video timeline video. I also think your wildlife video and photography work is great, here in GB you’d be probably be employed by the BBC as a freelancer, as they do so much natural-history production, apart from the David Attenborough epic series shown worldwide, we have BBC Spring-Autumn-Winter Watch which is a three seasons live TV wildlife series broadcast from wildlife locations around Britain. They get a good audience and lot of interest and the team includes wildlife photographer/presenter Chris Packham, TV presenter Michaela Strachan, Iolo Williams and Gillian Burke, with other regulars appearing. I love that little Antechinus creature, what exactly is it? Some kind of shrew creature native to Australia, I guess you’re in Australia from your accent.

Epic. I love seeing how fast cameras have advanced. I remember seeing Star Wars: Attack of the Clones (2002) as a kid, and that was the first movie shot digitally! Great memory. Cameras are all about memory, really. Yeah, that R5c is still the king of wildlife photography and filming, second maybe only to Sony A1. In my heart, I still haven't made the switch from camcorders, but that's only because my desire to have a good experience filming still outweighs my desire to get quality footage 😂 Do you still use the XF400 for nesting boxes? Also, I should've asked in a previous vid: did you just leave it there with its 4 hour(?) battery life, hoping to get something good before it died? Or did you stay and film personally? Sorry for the novel of a comment. Thanks for this epic video, Derek!
