And I don't think it's a sign of anything, like, deeper, like that he's now forgiving himself or something, I just think that he's a human with many sides of his personality. And he forgot that he was human for a really long time, so being more comfortable with the M9 has made him feel more comfortable with joking around."

When he broke down, he wasn't mentally with it enough to really take in or process anything (hence the allusion to him being a vegetable, he had as much thought process going on as a vegetable) till a woman came to the hospital as a fellow patient if I'm remembering right, met him, removed the false memories and kind of lifted the veil in a way and he was able to think for himself again. Was that helpful?

Timeline is as follows: 17 when he killed his parents, 28 when he broke out of the sanatorium, 32/33 when he met Nott, 33 when he met the nein, 34 now because it's been almost a year since. He's had 6 years to process, but he spent most of it completely alone so the vast majority of his progress has been in the last year plus. So that trauma makes him jaded and pragmatic, but also socially and emotionally stunted. He's an unhealthy mix of young and old.

Fjord made it a point to change back into his clothes; no one else bothered. Caleb used Seeming to magically change Fjord's appearance to look like he was wearing a bath robe, and to make everyone else magically look like they had regular street clothes on.
