Hiked the WCT three times, including with our ten year old. Next year going back with both our kids who will be 14 & 10. We stayed at crab Shack last year in a cabin. It was basic but a nice change. I'm surprised you had no water as we had blue barrels of fresh water at the top of the steps by the cabins and tent pad. Some of the camp areas can be hit or miss. Tsusiat gets too busy. Walbran can be very busy and a jam to get a good spot. Glad you enjoyed the hike.

What a wonderful experience for your kids! ❤ Yeah we really didn't find the hike to be crowded, luckily. Just camp on the last night, but I know everyone going both directions tend to stay there so it makes sense. If there was water anywhere around the Crab Shack, they definitely didn't tell us about it! It was pretty dry while we were there so maybe that was why? But I wish I would have known in advance - I would have just carried more water in with me.

Wow. Even socked in its beautiful. I can tell you are totally digging it. Would love a review of the upgraded Mariposa. I opted not to buy and am continuing to duct the holes in my one for now. Happy trails.🤟🏻🥾🏔

I saw they are selling the old models for a steep discount right now! I'm upset. Had I known, I would have waited and gotten an old one. Here's the link: www.gossamergear.com/collections/gear-closet-sale. I will definitely consider a review of the new one, but I don't have too much to say about it. It's like the old one, but a little heavier, a little stiffer, and the material feels a bit thicker. They also did not seem to add heavier-duty buckles, even though those breaking are a known problem. The buckles are a little different, but still feel flimsy.
