A Link to the Past - The Story of The Legend of Zelda (Part 2)

Following two major releases on the NES, the Zelda series was a hit. Work on a third Zelda game started quickly and the work on that game would lead to one of gaming's most celebrated releases: The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

I feel the same about the nostalgia when I was a kid this game hit me with an emotional bond, still when I hear the Kakariko village theme I get all the feels. Best Zelda game ever imo, it set the precedent. Thank you for this history lesson!

My friend found this at a pawn shop and bought it the same day. Then we went to his house and he played it while I watched and that was my first exposure to it. I ended up buying my own copy and beating it. Still my fave SNES title along with Super Metroid.

My 1st time playing ALttP was a borrowed SNES copy. I never got a chance to complete it and eventually gave it back. Didn't get to play it again until I bought it on GBA when it released. Played it on my bus ride to and from work as well as during lunch breaks and wow, timeless classic. A masterpiece of a game.

Well done sir! My first play of this game was on a jailbroken iPhone 3 in 2010. I was unable to finish bc the virtual controls wouldn't keep up with the second (?) Centipede boss but I'm looking forward to finishing it on the switch, a system I just got for my 4Oth bday. My first Nintendo game besides Mario was Ninja Gaiden NES. It took me over a year and half to first beat, I was almost 12. Ninja Gaiden 2 I used a game genie, Ninja Gaiden 3 is bullshit with its 3 fing continues. That ancient ship of doom can go sit on a chollo cactus...f#$% that game

Nice vid but since u asked our feelings on the game, I don’t really like the graphics and colors used. I wish it emphasized more natural colors… and Zelda 1 has nice earthy colors, it’s my favorite, it’s really about wandering around, while LttP more emphasizes a series of puzzles in the labyrinths, and the whole game is set up more linear than the first game, which is the most pure wandering/ exploring experience.
