I absolutely love this game but am guilty for never finishing it even after starting it up so many times. If I ever get a Switch this will be one of the first games I get & I plan on finishing it! haha

I love everything about the Gameboy Zelda game.. other than it was an after hours project. Workers and their families deserve time to be with one another.

I have a CIB Link's Awakening 93. By far my most nostalgic game. I have Link's Awakening art which has been in both my kids rooms.

I didn't own a Game Boy growing up but this game was played on a super Game Boy and beaten on it back after I beat A Link to the Past. So like in the late 90s

Apparently, a lot of people didn't get the twist ending. If you beat the game without dying, Marin shows up post-credits. The point is that there was no secret that the island was a dream but the twist ending is that at least Marin and the Wind Fish are real in the waking world. Also, consider how you pronounce 'Wind Fish'. You'll never unsee it.

Like you said in your last video about a link to the past, I feel that way about links awakening. I didnt feel the game needed a remake. The game feels complete on the gameboy. A lot of links awakening was built around the gameboys limitations, making certain aspects like a small map and smaller dungeons acceptable. On the gameboy its impressive, on the switch it feels like it's lacking, like there could be more added to the game. Overall, the only thing I liked was the graphics, but if I had to choose I would pick the gameboy version.

My only disappointment with the Switch remake was that they did not retain the original iconic box art, nor the art on the cartridge. I guess they felt like they needed to change it as the original was modelled after the art from A Link to the Past, but the logo and art of the original is still very iconic to me and it would have been nice to have seen it modernised on Switch.
