I remember going tpo the Ritz cinema especially the childrens clun on a saturday morning. If I behaved my Auntie used to take me to the pictures on her half day usually a Wednesday .We gave each cinema in Wallsend a try regardless of what was showing so the Tyne The Royal The Ritz and the Bourgh all got our custom. Got to say this site has brought back many many happy memories to a young 83 year old . Hope it keeps going for ever. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

this is wonderfull julie. i was born in 83 and i remember my grandparents telling me about going to the various cinemas on the high street. this small glance back in to wallsends history was very nice to watch. you are a good person for highlighting our stories from our town. and i look forward to watching more content from yourself. hope you are well today x

Used to go to the Saturday crush there during the 60's, tanner downstairs and ninepence upstairs. If it was your birthday you would get called up on stage to receive a small gift, my brother must of been twenty by the time he reached his Thirteenth birthday !
