When my 30 year old daughter passed, I had to say out loud, "I don't understand it God, but I trust you." I had to say this every day for a long time. I still have to say it some days even though it has been 5 years ago.

It is a beautiful thing in the eyes of God when we continually bow to His sovereignty, especially regarding things we don't understand, or when there is a deep loss. It is a sacrifice of great value and an expression of godly commitment. Blessings on you.

It's so true tt we often speak alot about Jesus and His suffering on the Cross n fall short of emphasizing that three days later He rose from the dead ... So for those of us who have put our faith in Jesus, we have entered into a relationship with a Living God ... Well able to give us life ... N life eternal ... And His power is at work today saving n transforming us to be more like Him. Hallelujah.

God bless you... Gino here from Texas. I have a sincere question and would like to know. After reading verse 9, as humans, does that mean we are lower than God's Angels?

The issue is not sitting around meditating on how great Jesus is as per Guzik, the issue is not "neglecting" the great salvation that they have - not actualizing it

Of the Son he says, ‘Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever.’” (KJ, NE, TEV, Dy, JB, NAB Bibles have similar renderings.) However, NW reads: “But with reference to the Son: ‘God is your throne forever and ever.’” (AT, Mo, TC, By convey the same idea.) Which rendering is harmonious with the context? The preceding verses (5-7) say that God is speaking, not that he is being addressed; and the following verse uses the expression “God, thy God,” showing that the one addressed is not the Most High God but is a worshiper of that God. Hebrews 1:8 quotes from Psalm 45:6, which originally was addressed to a human king of Israel. Obviously, the Bible writer of this psalm did not think that this human king was Almighty God. Rather, Psalm 45:6, in RS, reads “Your divine throne.” (NE says, “Your throne is like God’s throne.” JP [verse 7]: “Thy throne given of God.”) Solomon, who was possibly the king originally addressed in Psalm 45, was said to sit “upon Jehovah’s throne.” (1 Chron. 29:23, NW) In harmony with the fact that God is the “throne,” or Source and Upholder of Christ’s kingship, Daniel 7:13, 14 and Luke 1:32 show that God confers such authority on him. Hebrews 1:8, 9 quotes from Psalm 45:6, 7, concerning which the Bible scholar B. F. Westcott states: “The LXX. admits of two renderings: [ho the·osʹ] can be taken as a vocative in both cases (Thy throne, O God, . . . therefore, O God, Thy God . . . ) or it can be taken as the subject (or the predicate) in the first case (God is Thy throne, or Thy throne is God . . . ), and in apposition to [ho the·osʹ sou] in the second case (Therefore God, even Thy God . . . ). . . . It is scarcely possible that [’Elo·himʹ] in the original can be addressed to the king. The presumption therefore is against the belief that [ho the·osʹ] is a vocative in the LXX. Thus on the whole it seems best to adopt in the first clause the rendering: God is Thy throne (or, Thy throne is God), that is ‘Thy kingdom is founded upon God, the immovable Rock.’”-The Epistle to the Hebrews (London, 1889), pp. 25, 26. So this is probably over your head……isn’t it?

The law of Moses was brought on by Jesus Christ and is not inferior in anyway shape or form. Less anyone forget Jesus Christ didn't come to abolish his law. He came to fulfill it. Unless you believe he's not God and didn't make the 10 commandments.

This is a really disappointing sermon. Despite glancing at a couple pastoral points, so much of the exegesis that Guzik is doing here is just horrible. I am having to bail at 23 - and done with Guzik as a source of Biblical reflection. Perhaps most disappointing is he fails to tell people the truth about his actual Christology - which formally denies Jesus of Nazareth - a MAN - attested to by God (Acts2.22). His Christology is formally anhypostatic - that is Guzik denies the man Christ Jesus - and replaces Him with a mere IMpersonal human nature actuated by some kind of deity. This is horribly dishonoring of Christ and simply the creation of an idol of human artifice.
