Everyone should spend a bit of time in a cemetery every so often. It helps to reinforce the perspective that we're just temporarily passing through this world while on our journey home.

I really enjoy your videos. I live on the Georgia coast near St. Catherines Sound and I love the big tidal swings. I’m also happy that it is frustrating for visitors. I enjoy it being under developed and look forward for it to stay that way!

Brandon, been following you all along on your journey, and I thought of your visit to Steinhatche and Cedar Key on your around the Big Bend. Now almost completely wiped out. Three hurricanes in 13 months. When my kids were both working in Tallahassee we went on a ramble in and out of all the little coastal towns all the way down to Ft. Myers. Cedar Key was my favorite, Alot of little back lane camps, motorcycle groups, almost living a Jimmy Buffet life. Yours is about the most perfect Shanty boat for it;s ability to go shallow and beach able. Note (Former Navy Amphib- surf into the beach and drop the gate) kind of guy. Cap'n Rick, Port of Lewes, DE

For that big cruiser who passed you so closely...I'd have been tempted to closely pass right next to him while he was grounded on the sandbar, just becasue I knew I could being in such a shallow draft boat. Yeah for shanty boats! Dog gone, I couldn't believe how close he passed you by. What was the reasoning behind that?? It's kinda like he was just being a bully or something. "Outta my way, Peck!" I cannot stomach needless agressive behavior. Well, you were both able to continue on your way and nothing and noone was harmed, so that's good. Happy and safe travels!

Brenton, when beaching in tidal waters you can either leave an anchor out in deep water to pull yourself back out or you can anchor a float and rig a pully to trolly the boat back in to board it, but send the boat out to the float when you are ashore. The second is better, the first is easier.

I used to live in Savannah when I was in my teens and early 20s. I lived on Wilmington Island that you past before you got to Thunderbolt. That place has sure changed. The old building on the pier you focused on, that used to be a place that the shrimpboats docked and off loaded their catch. We bought the most beautiful and delicious fresh caught pink and white shrimp fresh off the boats. There were shrimpboat docks and other seafood houses along the water. Thunderbolt Marine was just a local boat yard that worked on the shrimpboats and recreational boats. Over the years its become a huge operation specializing on megayachts. There used to be this great somewhat fancy restaurant on the water there called Tassie's Pier. My family would eat there for special occasions. The section of the cemetery called Bonaventure is where many of the rich and famous of Savannah are buried there. It played a role in both the best selling book and movie called "The Garden of Good and Evil." There was a statute at a grave called "The Bird Girl" that became famous in it's own right thanks to the book and movie. To keep the statute from being destroyed, it had to be moved inside one of Savannah's art museums. They sold millions of smaller replicas of that statue for years.

Very nice video ,, I tried to share your video with the lady of the house here and it wasn't enough to have an interesting guy in a beagle on a boat and she wanted the whole backstory and I will I've never heard he mentioned if he has kids or he was married or anything like that, so as much as I hate to intrude on a private man , you willing to put yourself out and do videos give me a little bravery to ask anyway you could give us a quick origin story sometime, your state you was born in and all of that you know nothing too in depth sad you was born under and I'm joking about that but anyway I thought if I could maybe give her an update she might start watching your videos with me,, you and wavy have a good day and thank you 😝🇺🇲
