Nottingham was buzzing after the result, I been here a long while now. There feels a bigger buzz playing Liverpool over many teams, like a rivalry from the 80s still going for many, so a result was cheered well. Nice one for your dad

Good on ya lads , Congrats on 10k subs. I get that the subs didn't change much , and if anything made us worse but with Milan on Tuesday this was an opportunity to rest a few like Gravenberch, MacAllister, Jota and even Trent you can then make changes in game to injeect a bit of pace or creativity

24:31 what has happened to small in-game tweeks? I would have switched Szobo and Salah to get Salah closer to Jota/Nunez and get Szobo doing shuttles out wide. It wasn’t working the way it was and i think something like that would be produced better opportunities.

Most worrying part of the match was the last 15mins, changing formation to 3 at the back just smelt of desperation and just completely destroyed any structure or cohesion , certainly didn't look like anything we had practiced in training, it just looked so disorganized

I actually thought that should have worked. Push more bodies forward to pick up the loose ball. What you can’t control is a players first touch or missed passes.

Forest totally deseved the victory, there's no denying that. They will surprise a few this season. We just learn from it and move on. It's not season defining

Can't use being tired after the international break as an excuse. Forest had 14 players away on internationals to LFC's 17, and none of the Forest players looked leggy!

I didn't think they looked that "leggy" at all. What I saw was a LOT ( most ) of our players looking out of form and not on the same wavelength. How many 5-10 yard straight passes missed their intended target!! Every time Jota ran in behind, Moe pulled the ball back. If we played the forward ball, then the attacker was stood still waiting for a pull back.. it was just a really poor day from so many players What was a bit worrying was the subs / changes. When Trent was supposedly pushed into midfield to play in the double pivot, he just kept wandering like a free player and we became completely open, like the worst of the past few years again

On tourist fans, last season vs Tottenham hospitality ticket was being sold by the club at £700 and I'm told that it's a season ticket that was resold by the club for the absentee fan! There's a market now for local profiteering.

The issue im worried about is he’s trying to go down the dutch total football style of play with a team that was geared up for rush and harry gengen press style. So with no transfers done over the summer there’s likely going to be alot of games/results with this outcome. We have 12-14 great starters however outwith mac allister no one is really geared to play the horse shoe patient style of football! We’re all about the transitions ala gengen press and counter!

Here's a mad, hindsight is 20/20 thought as to how Slot coild have gotten Macca a rest and not started him ... Play TAA as the 8 or even 10 ( dropping Dom back ) and Bradley as proper wide right FB from the off. Leaving Macca until IM. Also, given that Slot made the tactical shift 2 3 at the back at 75 mins ... putting in Kostas into that system made 9 sense. Gomez should have replaced Robbo.

I started going in the early 70’s and in my opinion, the atmosphere has been over hyped for the average league game, sounds like the 60’s was the era of the noisy famous Kop.

The goal was a rare miss from Alisson. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good shot, but Alisson’s positioning, reaction and movement is correct, and for some reason he decided not to go for it.

Good analysis a lot of the plays looked physically and mentally tired. Slot needed to rotate. But we never play well after the break.

I know tactics are fashionable to talk about but we lost the game because our squad is flakey + often in love with their own hype, and they've proven that time and time again over the last few years. Give them any reason to not properly turn up and they will. Wahhh injuries, wahhh 12:30 kick off, wahhh intl break fatigue, wahhh we celebrated the league behind closed doors of course we're sad. Trent? Does one good thing and poses for a FIFA front cover shot. I know this is very ranty but i'm fed up with it. There's no steel or mettle and they're unreliable. Since 2020 i've only seen wonderful things from this team when against the odds. Like clawing back that deficit against City in the quad run. But when we need to hold our nerve or just do what'a expected of us we just fail time and time again. There is something psychologically wrong with this team. Just look at the pattern. We've been poor starters in most games the last 18 months. Couldn't hold our nerve after we caught up with City. Absolutely staggered over the line in our 3 cup finals against an inferior chelsea. Almost blew it against Villareal in that UCL semi. Couldn't hold our nerve against Madrid in the final. Couldn't hold our nerve at Old Trafford last year. You can rationalise each of those in isolation, but i'm looking at the pattern. I'm also sick of people moaning about the atmosphere. It's irrelevant. It has been dead in these sorts of games for, what, 15 years now? And we are still talking about it impacting performances? City win leagues in front of crppy crowds every year. Why should it be different for us?

I have to say I disagree, Harvey is on the cusp of becoming a great player and unlocking tight defences is his stock and trade, also he plays with passion that was lacking from alot of the 1st 11 on Saturday. I think if we had him available alongside Gravenberch in the 8 and Endo shoring up the back we could have easily dropped into a 3 at the back scenario and flooded their defence and itf we had started Gakpo either on the left or I the middle we would have had a player who can take and hold the ball.

I don't disagree that corporate greed will suck the life out of football but the days of Fan ownership are long gone and the reality of football finance is such that this is a supply and demand situation, the more successful you are the more people want to come see it and since there are a limited number of tickets, the price goes up. It's sad but true and it won't change with different ownership.

So I am watching this and a notification has popped up saying press conference for Milan now streaming. Decided I am going to watch the lads rather than the presser. Can assure you that would not have been the case when Klopp was manager. I will just go ahead and say it lads. Slots pressers bore me. no life on the sideline either. Slot is just a bore, I never watch them now I just read clips of what he said. Watching him just stood there like a statue on Saturday when we were struggling just doesn't sit well with me. He doesn't seem arsed about the fans and after Jurgen it just feels hollow.
