This was the the most hardest video to edit yet. The research and documentation alone to get this right and compress it down to less then 20 minutes.... uggghhh!
I did the Historical Society walking tour of the town and was able to show 22 different points of interest of this living ghost town. It made me really appreciate the history and the back stories that had a key role in making Las Vegas Nevada what it is today.

Who Is the In Between Wanderer?
My goal is to inspire others and get out there and enjoy life. I want to explore and visit places that this great country has to offer. I camp, hike, reviews, day trips and post videos weekly.
Life decided to throw me a curveball and I hit rock bottom in every way mid-life. I quote Jim Rhon “A life worth living is worth recording” and now I live a simpler smarter life.
-I want to live life more sustainably
-Inspire others to enjoy life
-Meet other likeminded individuals
-Create a community
-And above all have some great adventures

Decent and informative content. Just a quick question though. I feel like something overlooked. Why was there no mention of the previous owner of the Pioneer Saloon? Mr. Donald Hedrick, who kept the town going adding the ambulance, also voted as Constable working alongside Highway Patrol and Metro to help with safety in the community. Always donating his time or money to keep such an amazing place to live from falling apart. He was a productive leader within the continuing community that is today’s Goodsprings Nevada. R.I.P. Grandpa….

Thanks Elizabeth! The Pioneer Saloon is a entire video all in itself. I was more focused on this video as a highlight / brief history of of the town. I have it on my list to do a really good history of the Pioneer Saloon past to present. It's going to take time and research to get it right. My condolences to your Grandpa.

Thank you for all the historical research you did, that takes time. It made your video, so much more interesting and accurate. I like it when someone like you go the extra mile to share possibly unknown or forgotten information about a town in how it was formed, blossomed in its industrial business the people and their contributions and the others laywork supporting their community. And how it began to fade, as the big companies left. They're not forgotten when you create such a mini documentation of the various ordinary citizrns. Youve shsred resources, whereby others can also experience, following your own tour or make their own tour, when they visit this town too. And people like myself whom can't travel also have been educated too. Thank you for your contribution of sharing history with us. Keep up the great work. I look forward to your next discovery in your own learning adventure.

Thank you Lura for your very kind response, yes it does take a lot of time. I was going to shoot random buildings around the town and such but I did research before hand and thought wow this is really interesting stuff and the video just kind of took on a life of it's own. That was my very first attempt at a documentary type style. While I wont always be doing history type documentary films I will be very compelled to do one sprinkled in with my other life projects I will be working on. Just simply skip the videos that are of boring little ol me LOL. History was never something I was interested in as a kid but as I got older it has been something I have taken a serious interest in. I grew up in Northern California just minutes from where gold was first discovered in California... so many interesting places, mines, and locations I will probably never see again. If you know any locations or places you would like to see in a future video shoot me a email at inbwanderer@gmail.com and I will make it a point to visit those places (within 3 hours of Las Vegas Nevada). I will of course get better with time and refine my skills as a content creator which is all part of the journey. Finally having just one person out there like yourself out there makes me extremely happy to shoot and produce accurate videos! Very Best Wishes

I’m sure the reason no one knows (or wants people to know) is because some moron would try and steal the Last Spike.

I would Imagine someone would be out there with a pry bar trying to get a "replica spike" if people knew the exact spot... there is a history people were stealing the darn big blue history marker sign that Nevada puts up that you saw in the video.
