A Local In Czech Republic Invited Me To There Home

In this video I got invited to do a walking tour with a friend that invites me to their village in Czech Republic called, Lešná which has a population of 2 thousand inhabitants. We visit the local church within the area and go to the local pub and see other places of interests. I also get invited to see their basement in the locals house and I was also given a garden tour. In fact it is interesting to see the sustainable life people live by growing there own fruit and vegetables and having there own small farm animals (chickens) which gives a insight how locals live. My tour guide also shares there thoughts on the life here and also gives me plenty of information about their village.

I really appreciate it because not so many foreigners do that, most of them visit just Prague or Český Krumlov and then they leave, but you are showing the real beauty of our country. Hello André, great videos about your communication with locals! But I really think, that you should stop asking about chickens and start asking about bees. These are moore important bred animals for our mainland and you could also try homemade honey or liquor named "medovica"! :-)

It is really interesting to see the Czech settlement system. In Italy, there are hardly any small villages like these. Every small settlement, with us, is set up like a city. Our homes are often united in continuous fronts. This applies not only to Italy, but also to the South of France, Spain and Portugal. The separate house with garden, for us, is a recent loan from the rest of Europe (by recent, I mean from the 20th century). In the countryside, where there are separate houses, in Northern Italy, they are courtyard structures, not always entirely closed. Above all, for me, it is often very difficult to identify Czech public places from the rest of the town. Except for the tourist spots, the big signs are missing. As for drinking ... for the majority of Italians it is absolutely inconceivable to carry around a flask of spirits. Aside from chronic drunks, nobody does it at all.
