That last thing you found is an end cap for the irrigation pipes they would run in the field. Once the pipes are laid out and connected to the length that's needed they need to cap off the end. You see something similar on a fire truck where the hoses are attached they keep those on there to cap it off when not in use. You can also see something like it on a fire hydrant. It's not especially valuable, but the farmer might still be able to use it!

Could you have detected near the creek? I imagine the digging would be a bit easier.

That's how my ground is here in Germany. Fall and spring it is like quick sand mud, wellies weighing about 20 pounds each and the second it warms up a little, it is like digging through cement. Great Video!

You definitely got a work out with this excursion 😆 You really go the extra mile to make your followers happy. Hope the cement ground doesn’t discourage you from going back.

Thanks for the video and sharing your new permission with us, glad it’s starting to looking promising for you with a couple of George 3rds. Also pleased to see you wearing a loose fitting shirt in your sweltering Scottish heat. We are slightly cooler at 22deg as we move into winter, the puffer jacket was on earlier this morning till the fog lifted.

Your new permission does show signs of good things to come. 85 degrees would be a pleasant day here in my little slice of Texas, already 101 degrees today. Here is hoping for great finds to come. Cheers from Texas.

I'm curious if you ever detect in and alongside the streams, I expect people were there getting water, watering animals, washing, bending over and dropping things all the time. I'm also curious if you have access to overhead shots of that area to see if there are any crop markings in it showing where the structures were. I find this stuff very interesting!

What happened to your car, John? I know riding a bike is a good cardio, but in that sort of weather it's a bit of a risk if you're not used to that type of heat. The two Georgian coins were a plus, as well as the unfired muscat ball. You'll need to return to that field after a good soaking rain.
