What a wonderful place! At 48 years young I am just starting to get interested in these vintage machines- weighing up which one I need first!! Thanks guys! 👍🏍🏍👍

Your Enterprise is formidable Mr. Andy Tiernan. I have never seen such a variety of English machines under one roof for sale. It was a pleasure to watch your pleasant interview. Here in Brazil, as soon as I started working in 1970, I bought an Ariel motorcycle, model KG 500cc Twin Road, 1950-1952 in black. When I managed to buy it, it was already at least 20 years old, I couldn't get a manual, the identification plate on the frame had disappeared and at that time there was no Internet access. If one day this KG model reaches your hands, be sure to test it for the many fans of the Ariel brand, whose models were imported in a considerable number to Brazil. Unfortunately I couldn't keep it. GRATEFUL!

I love vintage and antique motorcycles and the shops like this one. Thank you Mr. Tiernans for helping keep the old British bikes on the road!

Lovely video! I have been a returning customer of Andy and Jo's for over 35 years, starting in 1985. I would unreservedly recommend Andy Tiernan Classics to anyone thinking of getting into vintage/classic mostly British motorcycles. Just making a visit really is an experience in itself! Have seen your adverts in Old Bike Mart countless times, I have only just found you on here but have been enjoying your motorcycle videos and this one shows what a wonderful place you have. I retired from being a motorcycle mechanic in 2019 after 48 years in the trade. As a youngster I was lucky enough to be taught wheel building and truing, cable making and even re corking clutches. I worked on the most modern machines most of the time but my real passion was always British Motorcycles. My last four years in the trade were spent at RM Motorcycles in Beverley, East Yorkshire, somewhere where once again I got the chance to use my old skills working on British machines. I have my own little home workshop with a mill, lathe and welding gear and bike projects which include a Velo KSS and a rigid / girder Norton model 40. Thanks for posting this video, it has been a real treat to have a look around your shop, a real Aladin's cave..........wonderful.

It is a rather unique place to work , I have been playing with British bikes for 42 years but I have learned more in the past 6 since working for Andy.

Nice to see around the shop. Good lord that's a few bikes! I've seen more than a few videos of bikes being ridden out of the shop and up and down the drive. Absolutely magnificent . My favourite was the Scott. Not many of those in Canada.

looks like a really, really nice garage and classic bike shop. There are many, many priceless treasures and expert knowledge, hope you can keep doing this store for a long, long time! And please look around in good time for a successor who puts just as much heart and soul into it. It would be a shame if the owner could no longer do this business maybe for health reasons or so and this treasury had to be liquidated. Something like this must be preserved! Regards from Berlin.. ;-)

Often looked at your site, but like all British bike sites, prices keep climbing out of my grasp. So unless I want a Bantam or a derelict model, I’ll have to stick with newer bikes. Not a criticism of you, just the trend. I ride my bikes, they’re not for collecting. Whilst I don’t want them covered in muck, no choice if I commute.

I would take a 1920s vintage bike over anything on offer today
@robertjames66402 жыл бұрын
Another point of view shared by many. I rode many of the bikes I see in his shop and bought some of them for less than one hundred pounds: a decent Bantam would sell for less.. Until various groups, the media and auction companies that would have spurned a motorcycle not that long ago built a business model out of a hobby and sent prices through the roof. Times change I know but is a Vincent Shadow worth the fortunes asked today? Dealers simply follow trends and are obliged to pay high prices to get stock. Everybody involved just gets greedier, including owners of the geese they often view as swans. No reflection on Andy Tiernan for he is one of the better dealers.
