A Look at Some of my Favorite Games from the Switch's History

Dragon Quest XI is fantastic, I'm usually fond of shorter games but somehow I didn't want it to end, even after 100 hours. I think the whimsical, fairytale nature of it just makes it so endlessly appealing. Link's Awakening is also great, I made a video about it recently too. It's very approachable as a Zelda game, perfect for first timers to the franchise.

You’ve really hit the nail on the head with how I felt about DQ11 too! I’ve not had that kind of emotional connection to a game often, so it made me happy :) and absolutely on Link’s Awakening! It was the same then as it is now, easy to approach and very well put together!

This is a great Variety of Games that i see rarely most have basically the same Game. Paper Mario is really nice

Thanks for the kind words! Ya know, I saw the same thing when researching titles for the video. A lot of just triple A games.

I agree that it's weird that nintendo hasnt released any real compelling switch updates. I just really want a switch lite oled that is dockable; the lite not being dockable makes it a no go for me (even though i massively prefer the lites form factor) and oled alone is not enough to motivate me to "upgrade" despite the fact that i may indeed enjoy it

I really feel the same way. Like, the Lite is great for people who don't want to be confined to one spot and travel a lot, but even the OLED just being a new screen feels more like a "refresh" than an updated model.

Nintendo doesn't make big revisions they make small ones we've had two revisions of the switch people don't understand Nintendo if they think there were just going to release a pro right off the bat Gameboy Gameboy Pocket Gameboy Color those ain't huge revisions we didn't even get a light on the first Gameboy Advance not until the second one.

Oh I totally understand that. I never expected us to go from Switch to a “pro” model or anything Ike that. I was more commenting on how the revisions we have had so far have been minor. Heck, look at the new Mario bundle Nintendo just dropped. It’s still a first Gen switch, not a lite or even an Oled. I’m sure we’ll get one some day though.

​@@chocobose sorry I guess I misunderstood the line normally by now Nintendo would have released a revision kind of implying there hasn't been two or three already. and I do admit I kind of stopped watching the video after that if you're going to get the first thing wrong .hopefully you corrected yourself we've had three revisions of the switch one was a small one and not very noticeable and of course the switch light and the OLED.

No no, totally understandable. I k ow for a fact I got my words mixed up during recording 😂 but yeah, maybe revision wasn’t the best choice of words. Refresh? New guts? Updated console? Words are hard!
