Wonderful memories for you and many others also have a special place in their hearts for the RedHens- so many stories and a big part of South Australians lives back then. Have a great day!

As a child, I loved a school holiday trip in a Redhen, from Adelaide to Bridgewater. Hoping the front seat next to the driver was empty, so I could look out the front window all the way.

@@AM22trainsandthings I left SA 30 years ago . I used to go with my father to a place that had a lot of loco's waiting for the scrapper, but I can not remember where that was. This was way before the historical society at Port Adelaide. I think it was at Mile End. It maybe there I was a Brill but I have never travelled on one.

started high school in 1994, had these for 2 years, so lucky enough to have been in one, these trains always had a smell of urine, graffiti remover and disinfectant 😁, having us all packed in with the door open wasn't the best idea either

They belonged to The Yorke Peninsula Tourist Railway and that was their colours but they have since closed. the one that you think is a Jumbo is a SuperChook- a modified RedHen.
