Former first lady Rosalynn Carter has died at the age of 96. Former president Jimmy Carter and Rosalynn’s love story is the most enduring of any in presidential history. Jimmy’s sister set him up on a blind date with Rosalynn where he instantly fell in love with her. Rosalynn spoke about their romance at their 75th wedding anniversary in 2021. “I didn't think I would ever get married,” she says. “Then along came Jimmy Carter and my life's been an adventure ever since.”

Eh no, my grandma died in 2017 and my grandpa is 83 and strong. We hang out with him a lot, I think being lonely contributes to broken heart syndrome.

🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 One of my 1st book reports in elementary school was about 1st Lady Rosalynn Carter. I still to this day volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. Rest peacefully 🕊️

Thank you both for all the work you did after you left the white house in 1981. What an inspiration in life and in marriage. I only wish my parents had lived as long as you both did. My folks were married for 62 1/2 years before they passed. Of course, they would be well over 200 if they were still living. I did vote in 1976 but I think I voted for 3rd party then. I know I voted for R. Nixon in 1968 and in 1972.

It’s sad to see both of them looking so frail and on deaths door. Now Rosalynn has crossed over, and I think Jimmy is not far behind.

I just know realize Jackie O died so young at 64 for a first lady; most lived until their 90s like Rosalynn!

He caused so much pain for Iran, no amount of his pain can mach that, he helped change the society's norms in Iran based on his ideology and create what is going on now.
