I wanted to bring mention to some power ups I forgot to mention in the video. -Difussion Missiles in Metroid Fusion increase the freezing radius of your missiles -Hyper Ball in Prime 3 allows the Morph Ball to expel of rays Phazon -Hyper Missiles in Prime 3 are basically super fast Phazon Super Missiles -Hyper Grapple in Prime 3 is just basically the Grapple Voltage... but with Phazon -Gravity Boost in Prime 2 basically allows Samus hover under water (I covered this in the Armors video because it felt more as an upgrade tied only to her armor and functions as a Gravity Suit) Apologies for not talking about these items, sometimes one can forget to add things into the script.

Yes, the "difficulty" space pirates had recreating the morph ball. I will never forget that log entry in Metroid Prime when they gave up after making space pirate distorted pretzels. Morbid humor at its finest

For me it's Prime 2's log found in the Pirate base in Agon Wastes "Metroids are not pets. Metroids are not for target practice. And finally, any unauthorized feeding is strictly prohibited." Gets me every damn time!

There's a scan that says something like "a Pirate was disciplined for his use of a Metroid for target practice" and a Metroid in a container's scan says "It appears to have consumed an excessive amount of pet treats". Also, if Metroids aren't pets, someone has to tell Samus.

The Spider Ball from Metroid II was definitely the power-up that drew me into the world the most. It's slow and contemplative, which suits the atmosphere, and leaves Samus vulnerable to attack (and thus at risk of falling). The award for cutest power-up goes to the Morph Ball. The most overpowered power-up is the Charge Beam, which unbalanced Super Metroid somewhat by making Missiles redundant in combat. Shout out also to the Space Jump for being such a cool concept.

i like ot mention some people think the morphball is a substitute for crawling but really i doubt crawling in a suit like samus's is simple and the holes seen in prime are small, plus samus can go forward and backwards in the morphball without inpeded movement but hte power grip, well heavy armor i guess, and she loses that before metroid 2.....well lets consider the remakes cannon so she loses it before super metroid and fusion her suit is lighter in a concept of using energy as a projectile that is a case of either you are using an energy cartridge or overall unlimited shots but this is chozo tech, and if you try to bring up prime 2 those weapons are lunamoth tech and were still a work in progress as according to lunamoth's lore that the dark and light beams are useful yet work in progress, but shame not getting all ammo expansion doesnt give you unlimited shots

Spoiler for the trailer and treehouse gameplay of. Metroid Dread! In the trailer we see the first E.M.M.I (not broken) can climb any wall and after you kill it you’ll probably get the spider grip thingy that makes you able to climb blue surfaces. The green boy (second emmi) can crawl into small spaces, you’ll probably get the morph ball from it ! Another Emmi from the trailer (the yellow boy) seems to be able to run around at the speed of sound, and you guessed it ! You’ll getthe Speed booster from it !! You forgot the diffusion missle upgrade in fusion. That's the one where when you charge your missile and release it's sends out a freezing circle of ice. Useful for when you have a lot of enemies or just something you need to freeze that is out of reach. But otherwise I loved the video man. I may have an explanation as to why the Ice Beam freezes enemies in midair, cold temperatures are just heat escaping the area (the "area" in this case is the enemy), and if heat is radiating downwards then theoretically wth a lot of video game logic, it would keep enemies from falling.

The wide beam has different properties to the Spazer as Spazer will stop if it hits an enemy where the 3 shots of the wide beam have their own hit boxes. Great video tho love your content so far!

Maybe you already knew, but did you know that Nintendo didn't really know what the term bounty hunter meant when they decided that that's what Samus would be? Likely because of Star Wars' Boba Fett, who was known as a bounty hunter, they thought it just meant maybe more of a mercenary, or a ,"cool space warrior". This was discovered when they were appalled at the idea pitched by Retro Studios for Samus to actually hunt people/aliens and collect bounties. "We were looking for something more along the lines of a mission-based game where Samus collected bounties. And for the life of us we couldn't understand why [Nintendo was] being so resistive to that concept. And then over the period of days we came to understand that their definition of a bounty hunter is not a bounty hunter. It is not someone who brings in bad guys for money. That concept was completely outside of their definition." -Bryan Walker, IGN interview with Retro Studios about the development of Metroid Prime 2, 3, and Trilogy.

Power beam: This beam is called "energy beam" from the Metroid Fusion Web site, but I doubt it's supposed to be electromagnetic radiation (EMR). In Metroid: Samus Returns, the power, charge, and plasma beam all share the same icon with slight variations. This leads me to believe the power beam is actually a plasma beam. Wave beam: In the 2D games, the wave beam passes through most solid objects. EMR can pass through walls, depending on the frequency, the material, the thickness of the material, and other factors. I suspect the wave beam is an EMR, probably a radio or microwave. Ice beam: If the freeze guns are based after the ice beam, then the ice beam would fire compressed gas of some kind. Probably a coolant. This wouldn't be reliable in reality, especially when it comes to freezing hot objects like magdollites or novas. Laser-cooling is another option, but something tells me it's the former and the ice beam is super-cooling air and compressing it. Plasma beam: You have to think about how plasma is generated, so this can lead to some interesting ideas. Ot could be that the arm cannon is somehow ionizing the air by rapidly heating it up. Or, the plasma beam is firing an electric voltage with the voltage being high enough to cause a dielectric breakdown. Or, Samus is firing a laser, producing a laser-induced plasma channel. Upon doing that, electricity is sent down the path, thus creating an electrolaser.

I think you missed that missile from Metroid Fusion that did the swirling thing that froze enemies Kind of like the Diffusion Beam, but 2D and for the Missiles
