Greetings from Canterbury. Loving watching your videos, usually when I'm on the stationary bike here at home, which in itself adds a touch of "virtual reality" to my 70 min workouts. Regarding all these low traffic neighbourhoods that are no through roads, I'm still actually surprised that there are virtually no moving cars to be seen going to and from their residence. Excellent for biking of course, as well as walking these interesting neighbourhoods.

Always great to hear from you Ibs! And yeah the LTNs really are a huge benefit for cycling off main roads, I was really surprised by what a difference they make when I first saw them

@@Londoncycleroutes Hello, Ibrahim here. Apologies for not commenting on your channel for while. Certainly not due to lack of interest and I will always remain subscribed. I am still considering buying a folding bike to stash in the boot of the car and your videos serve as an inspiration. Again, I love all those low traffic neighbourhoods and find myself also analysing the architechture . I'm actually amazed at the growing cycling infrastructure you show in your videos around London, even though as you point out, they could make a few improvements. I also particularly love it when you show your route goes through a park or along the side of it. And showing a map route plus comparison with public transport is very interesting. And I totally agree in this video that it was perfectly acceptable for you to technically run your red cycle light to simply latch on to the tail end of a group of other cyclists from the opposite direction on their green light. Anyhow, keep up the great work and enthusiasm and I look forward to continued viewing of your wonderful channel. Ibrahim

Shout out to the duke of Edinburgh on ferndale road, biggest pub garden I’ve seen in London! Will certainly get some use from April 12th

I didn’t know about this one! I’m hoping to Move back to the area soon so will make use too. Funnily enough the Edinborough castle in Camden also has a massive garden

Nigel Frost on Twitter has pointed out that on Atlantic road you can just keep going and cross the lights into Dorrell Place and Nursery Road to join Ferndale, instead of going down Pope's Road and Brixton Station Road and walking to the traffic lights. To be honest that's probably a bit smoother

I've just got a city bike and I'm scared to cycle into London, your channel is a big help! Though now I need to find a way to commit to going on the routes! Any videos coming which starts from colliers wood area into London ??
@Londoncycleroutes2 жыл бұрын
Definitely planning a couple of routes around there, just need to get around to filming them- I’ll also at some point do a proper review of TfL route CS7 which starts at Colliers Wood. Thanks so much for watching!

Hey, cool videos! I have a question: if you could choose one place to live in London based on best cycle commute to the city, what would it be?
@Londoncycleroutes3 жыл бұрын
ooo, great question! to the City, probably Hackney? It's really close there's a decent quiet route the whole way. For the West End/Westminster I'd pick Camden/Kentish Town probably
