I saw your comment on their thread and was waiting on the edge of my seat for this vid - I’ve been hunting for a controller for weeks trying to find something that speaks to me. I loved the style of these when I found them and hoped someone would get their hands on one soon for a review. Really wanted to support the independent market. Think I’m convinced.

Super happy you like the style, this was a definitely a focus for me when developing the controller, so it means the world to me to hear your feedback! Let me know if you have any other questions about the HyperCube

Thanks for the review! For anyone interested, I’m also starting a coaching series on SF6 over on my channel (just hit 1800 MR). I’ll be offering free coaching sessions and also giving away a Hypercube or two for those diving into the journey. Check out the description of my latest video for more details!

Free coaching AND free controllers?! Can't beat that! Best of luck with the series and your future controllers!

The big additional button is in a very convenient position for a dash macro. I experimented with different layouts and found out that dashing with my right thumb is comfortable and efficient

I know this is a pricy one but I really hope you'll check the Furin FRS soon, Getting tired of all these flat boxes even tho they are all really nice! Maybe dm the person behind it I heard only good things about him maybe he will send you 1 for a video. And would also love to see leverless controllers that still house full fledged buttons and not just micro switches and caps. I love my SB Micro and use it almost daily but whenever I can I always switch to my other ones. One has Sanwa's and the other Gamerfinger. Some people want leverless but not necessarily a flatbox design and they dont mind sacrificing some of the size of the controller in order to make that happen.
@HushMySweet111 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's on my list. (And I actually talked with him a longtime back. He made it sound like a review copy could float between reviewers and they'd send it on to the next person on the list once they had it for a couple weeks. So hopefully it still pans out.) Many more reviews incoming! Thanks for watching.

It's always nice to see more button boxes for humans. Humans have two thumbs and a left pinky. Glad we learned from our mistakes and are doing better now.

Thanks again for all the great reviews! Do any of the 14 button controllers have fully programmable layouts? If a game has poor remapping functionality, it would be convenient to be able to change the controller itself instead.
@_TRUNKS Жыл бұрын
Hi, the HyperCube has a fully programmable layout, although this is not exclusive to it though, any controller (14 button or not) that runs gp-2040ce will be able to do it!
@WarpedByTheNHK Жыл бұрын
@@_TRUNKS Oh wow! That's fantastic news. I thought perhaps some of them were intentionally locking out some customization for the purpose of clear tournament legality or something. Good to know they are such flexible controllers since I like to use them on other genres such as platformers as well.
@HushMySweet1 Жыл бұрын
Glad you dig the reviews! (And yes, this controller is fully remappable). Thanks for watching!

Stock blue clicky switches instead of something like red "linear type" switches like the ones included in most Flatbox/Snackbox Micro-style leverless peripherals is a strange choice for a device tailored to competitive fighting game players, also a foam pad on the bottom could be nice. Very pretty leverless otherwise.
@HushMySweet111 ай бұрын
Yeah, I love foam padding on controllers, and the switches sort of fly in the face of conventional wisdom (or at least the established norms); however, maybe it helps to set them apart in an ever-growing landscape of all-button options. (Or maybe the owner just really likes clickier switches, lol) Thanks for watching!

I love the design, but don't like the gold. For me it's too flamboyant, but some might like it. If there are options for purple, pink, or teal, I'll take it. Regarding the clackiness and noise on 3d-printed controllers, there's no fix for it. I've tried everything from O-rings, poly-fillers, tape, foam, nothing will fix it. The nature of 3d-print itself is the problem since it has air-pockets inside the infills. I printed a 100% infill, and it still makes noise. The only solution is totally remove the spacing from the board and the printed material like what you normally see on acrylic sandwich-type controllers. But, as long as there's air moving and vibration, it will still make noise.
@HushMySweet1 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, if the gold is a dealbreaker, there are plenty of other controller options out there these days so I'm still confident you can find the perfect one for you. Thanks for watching!

In order from 3:48, Snack Box Micro XL, resin enclosure Flatbox, Snack Box Micro, Slab Mini, Haute Board Mini, MPress Nano, Mavercade Keeb-Brawler, BeastBox, Keeb-Fighter-03. I have videos of all of them on this channel. Thanks for watching!

I think Flatbox-based controllers should include USB-A to add support to PS5 and currently Xbox, but hey, one day it will happen... some day PS: How beautiful those colors look, it gives it a more premium touch

Would you recommend this as a good controller for long periods of play time ? I kinda have big hands and was looking for a leverless controller with 14 buttons but can't find one that's big.
@HushMySweet110 ай бұрын
How big are we talking? I think this should be fine for most hands, but if you're a bigger person with bigger hands, you might also look into split layouts (Mavercade has a couple different options). Good luck!

Do you know of any leverless controllers that have the same button layout as this but are not 3d printed?
@HushMySweet1 Жыл бұрын
Look into the NEW Mavercade KeebFighter-03. It has a very similar layout (with an additional button and acrylic for art), AND you can order it in a premium version that has a metal CNC skeleton rather than 3d printed materials.
