I love "pattern-acurate" mod implementations using fully blown instruments! Besides this beefy solo i literally can see patterns scrolling on protracker ;d. Well done dude, i am expecting more to come.

I tried my best. At that point [when I was originally making this remix] I didn't yet have the tools to export mod tracks into separate channels so the reference track in the session was just the mod converted into wav. I did have a mod to midi converter so that I could try to nail that fast solo part. I'm not sure I really did. I mean I think it sounds fantastic but I don't think it's note per note. The parts are all lined up exactly like in the mod I think. The chorus section I changed rhythmically a bit the way I heard it in my head. When I remixed this in late August I only changed the drums and bass sounds - I left guitars the way they were recorded in late 2014 :)

@@ArcadeMusicTribute i've spent many, MANY hours of my life listening to L3 soundtrack and i can call myself an expert of this matter :P. You did very well. > but I don't think it's note per note. This is what music is about: not to be note-perfect, but to be relation-perfect; transposing by -3 key does not matter as long as you keep timing and pitch's distance between notes as in source material. For toolstack i highly recommend Milkytracker. It runs even on Windows Mobile junk, so there's no excuse to avoid this editor :P. If you are more after WinAPI programs - check out Modplug Tracker (i believe it has MIDI export option).

challenged myself to learning the solo on guitar, but it'll be really hard, if you could help me with any tab you may have, i just wanna get done on the fast part this is the cover i was looking for, it's really great

Uf. I could never play those fast parts on guitar. I just went tone by tone and re-edited the recording. Everything that is super fast in these leads was played and recorded on real guitar but slower and then edited. That super fast part is not that hard but it's weird. It's almost like it was written by someone who was not a guitar player. :S Um I don't have tabs - what I did was I exported the original Amiga .mod file into midi. Then you have to do some editing and the original notes came out. [in my mod to midi converters the original notes usually come out super short [idk why that is]. I'm not sure if I got all of them correct but yeah....

Missing parts and some different notes as with all 'best version of all times this time for super real'. No. I don't care if someone listened to too much iron Maiden or they couldn't afford 7 string guitar and whatnot. There was only one metal machine, all the others were lackluster copies
