This songs needs beefier kickdrum imho. On the other hand, i really loved lead guitar and synth performance here; balance of placing these instruments in fore- and background using volume came very well here. Great implementation of Patrick's idea.

Thanks for the feedback!!!! The first mix I did had a fat kick and low cut on bass. It was pretty cool but then I tried another mix with low end on bass and a thinner punchier kick. I corrected it a little and the 3rd mix seemed ok and I just left it. Both this and Metal Machine only had 3 mixes done and that was it. I just felt like it was working and if I pushed it further I would loose it. For "Arcane" I did 104 mixes before I stopped - for "Ryu Theme" 54. Hybris "In Game Music" took me over 52 mixes to get it "right". This one only 3. Sometimes it takes me a 100 tries before I get it "right" [basically I just give up] - other times I just feel like the song is working and I don't want to mix it anymore. Silver Surfer or Speedball were also done in something like 3 versions of the mix and that was it. I could agree the low end on this mix could've been better, bigger, fatter, but idk....I spent the whole September listening to this mix and I felt it was ok. The only thing I changed from that original mix #3 was I boosted guitar leads for 1 db. That was it. I could've gone with the fat kick but I'd have to cut low end on bass then.
