Wow! Alan this walk just blew me away! what fantastic views on a beautiful day, great video and lovely narration. My favourite vid so far!! Sue :) (just shared it to Sam)

Thanks Sue it was a fantastic day and one of my favorite walks, especially in this weather. It was -3 when I set off and +15 when I got to the top, which given it was 25 March, was crazy. You have got an option half way up in taking a left (as I did in this video) to go to the top of Place Fell or taking a right and going to Angle Tarn, which is not as tough going and when I did my first Wildcamp. If you ever go to the Lakes and stop over night, there is a great Premier Inn at Penrith (about 0 .5mile off the M6), where I always stop with Mrs Metalman and it is about 6 miles away from Ullswater and the carpark, at The Patterdale Hotel, where I started this walk from. Oh, there is a canny little Weatherspoon's about 200 years away from the Premier Inn where we have our evening meal and breakfast as well. Thanks very much for watching and leaving such a great comment. ATB to you both. Cheers Alan

I thought i had already subscribed to your channel, it was only this morning i realised i hadn't, sorry about that, i have corrected that. Thanks for sharing. jim

@AlanMETALMAN6 жыл бұрын
Adam parker - hey bud, unsure to be honest but you could ask. There is also the option of The White Lion 100 yards away and also 4 free places in a layby just passed the White Lion, where I parked overnight, when I wildcamped at Angle Tarn in the summer. Best of luck to you buddy, cheers Alan
@MrSamcro596 жыл бұрын
Alan METALMAN hi mate thanks for your reply I was super lucky and managed to get in the lay-by by white lion as somebody was just leaving as I arrived ! Was awesome, temp around 2 to 5 degrees and the weather was kind, was planning on walking up place fell on Sunday but my pack was so heavy I opted out as I had no water to save weight as the way up way quite a slog! ATB Adam
