Good morning Alan, wow the bird song that accompanied you at the start, fabulous! What a great looking walk, and that bunk house/cottage would be an amazing base camp for the family. Oooh no at the jackett/GP fail, soda law hey! Really loved the look of this path, and as always the amazing veiws.looked look an alien planet at the top, loved it! As Kats says some of these hills and mountains dont look like humans should be there, yet we ate drawn to them poles moths to a flame. No wonder you loved it Alan, cracking stuff. Dont think we fancy jogging it tho 🤭 much happy plodding and sipping teas. A route we would very much like to try one day, maybe our next trip up 🤗 like you we would likely start earlier, brilliant video as always, thanks Alan a great 8.5 miles! Big thumbs up, have a good week, Ceri and Kat ♥️☕👍⛰

Thanks very much for watching guys and I love an early start, the drive over the Moors was brilliant, deserted roads and then a deserted car park when I got there. Never saw anyone for the first 3 hours almost, which suited me fine, so I could soak in all the views in peace. Only problem was I forgot it was the school holidays😖, so the Ullswater Way was real busy, which is why I climbed up again, still a real good day and funny enough when I was setting off for home there were cars still trying to get into the car park - madness! Cheers Alan

Amazing views! Yes, the outdoor places are no longer places of solitude, busier than ever! Maybe it's a good thing. More people caring about these places means a better probability of them being preserved or conserved into the future. Thanks for sharing those stunning views!

I can see why this would be Mrs. Metalman's favorite hike. This was gorgeous - especially at 04:20 and 05:21... there are a lot more time stamp worthy views in this, especially the ones when you showed the surrounding water when you got up high. 8 miles - wow! It looked like a picture perfect day, and you really got some beautiful shots there Alan!!

Bit of a solo walk this time Alan? Good thing for those breezes, you guys get zero shelter from that sun up there. Stunning views all around though, that's the benefit of no trees, you get good views and you get them nice and early through the whole hike almost. Nice to have the first half all to yourself at least. Makes these places just that extra special. "the higher you are, the better the views!" Love that mantra Alan. Super kickass hike, 8.5 miles is a great clip, you certainly worked for those views!

Hello Alan I was just thinking how peaceful it was looking up that fell when you mentioned it was getting busy on the path. I should imagine as the summer goes on it will be even busier in the Lakes . I must admit it is why the humans have not taken me there for a good number of years. Thats why I love to watch your videos . hopefully someday I will go there and maybe see you there ; ) Take care Teddy
@AlanMETALMAN3 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much for watching and you are right, it got busy on the afternoon on the Ullswater Way but I forgot the schools were off on holiday 😳. Normally, even in the summer yiu can always find some peace and quiet, as long as you start early and keep away from the real tourist spots. Cheers Alan

Whenever I do that route, taking the low path, I always call in to the café at Side farm for a brew and a slice of cake, with an ice cream to eat on the way back to Glenridding. First time I did it as a novice walker I was overtaken by a woman carrying her mountain bike!
@AlanMETALMAN3 жыл бұрын
Nothing worse Peter, happened to be umpteen times, huffing and puffing up a Fell and then an old woman jogs passed me😖. To be honest, if we get the streamer to Howtown and walk back, that's exactly what we do too, really missed it on this trip but good for my diet 😂. Thanks very much for watching, really appreciate it, cheers Alan

One of my all time favourite summits been there numerous times by myself, with friends, my son and grandson, so a real special place for me. I hope you have a fantastic climb but remember plenty of water and Factor 50, it looks like it will be a hot one. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan

What a gorgeous day you had (despite the wind on the top), amazing views! That must have been a sight though you crawling 😁 but I totally understand lol! I keep thinking that we passed by Dodd Fell last year on our way up to Helvellyn from Grasmere (Via Grisdale Tarn)?? Or am I confusing that?? 😜 thank you for another great video Alan. Cheers!!
@AlanMETALMAN3 жыл бұрын
Grisdale Tarn is close by but the other way to where I was walking. That wind was a bloody mare on the tops, ruined some good footage but I still enjoyed the day, despite the path getting busy on the afternoon, I forgot the schools were on holiday😖. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan

Five Star Film Alan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing clarity, are you filming in 8K? Yes that walk is very special and the weather superb. Loved the view back towards Brotherswater, makes me want to head up there right this minute. Cheers Mike.

Still with the Hero 7 Black Mike and still filming at 2K but it really comes into it's own on a bright day. The morning was brilliant, never saw my first person for almost 3 hours but I forgot the schools were off on holiday, so the Ullswater Way was busy 😳. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan

WIndy!! Those are some rocks Alan, you don't wanna be going over on that shale etc. Fantastic views as always on your vids Alan. What you got in your drink? Lemon squash? I hate seeing loads of people when I'm walking, hiking... kinda spoils it for me... but everyone has a right to get Outdoors, preferably not on my path though 😂🤣 How's retirement treating you though? You look so well. Lee
