7:45 That's actually not the radio. That's where the driver puts in an identification/clock card (don't know the name of it in English). There are tight regulations on how long you can drive, and when to take a break, and how long your break has to be, etc, etc. The card also saves data about your driving, how fast you were going, the MPG, and things like that. Once your day is over, you take your card out of the machine, and bring it with you into your company's office and copy over all the data about your trip, and it's saved into their database, and the necessary data is sent to whatever government agency that handles road safety in your country. If you've done anything illegal, like driving too fast, or skipped a break, you will be reprimanded. I think you have 3 minor strikes before you lose your license. Note that these rules don't apply to Polish drivers, because they are assholes in traffic

The game can teach you a few necessary rules of the road, some basic signs and giving away priority, however it definitely can't replace proper driving lessons. If you were to go all out though and get a steering wheel and a H-shifter for this game, it could actually teach you how to handle gear changes, saving fuel and using clutch under heavy load.

Dear lord, please never drive an actual semi without training. I was next to a mildly fishtailing semi on the highway a couple years back, and it was terrifying. I can't imagine seeing a semi do any of this stuff without wanting to drive off a bridge to get away from it

I have good news: real world physics don't work like they did in the game, and there's pretty much no way of someone without any training or a drivers license could get their hands on a semi and drive it
