Question: If they cut to the six, the top of the other pile is a two, which means we went from a 3 letter word to a three letter word. Please advise.

Works for every spectator cut other than the six. If the spectator cuts to the six, and you choose the next card, it will be a two. The trick doesn't work with three character card names. Someone else in the comments said the same then and then posted they "figured it out." What did they figure out? It doesn't work when the spectator cuts to the six. What am I missing?

I've lowkey been obsessed with the concept of how many arrangements a 52 card deck can be set in. The number is just so mind blowingly big. I've incorporated that into my patter for lots of tricks like A.C.A.A.N effects, any tricks that deal with the order or cards, and probablity tricks. It's a great hook that gets ppl interested

Also, for non-english speakers, it might work too. Like, for German, the "seven" would be a 6-letter word, so you'd treat it like a 3-letter (since that has nothing to do with the letter count -- you care about 4 letters, 5 letters, and everything else is something you don't want). Unfortunately, the next card would be the ace, which is also a 3-letter word. From what I can tell, that's the only problematic situation for Germans, so one could try to change the performance a bit -- let the spectator do the cutting early, and explain the numbers after he's done the cutting. This might give you enough time to do a cut-cross force if they cut to the 7, so they'll get the 5 instead. Not sure, though -- I wouldn't mind having a bit more distraction in between, but there isn't anything I can think of. Unfortunately, cutting to the 7 is also rather likely, since it's in the middle of the pack. I wonder whether the cards could be arranged differently, so the 7 is at the top or bottom... but I'm too lazy to think about that now :-)

Very good, but if the spectator cuts in the 3rd card form the top, we will have a "10". Ten has 3 letters and the Ace will be in the fiftth positions... Any solution?

I get this trick to work for everything except when spec cuts to the 6, which is a 3 letters so I turn over the next card (a 2), which is also 3 letters. But since the Ace is the 5th card from the top and I only move 2 cards from the top, it doesn’t work. What am I doing wrong? Other than that I don’t turn the cards face up until all cards are on the table. Since after turning a few cards face up one at a time, the spec isn’t really surprised at the rest of the cards.

Six and Two are next to each other, so if they cut to the 6, you'll have to come up with another solution other than flipping the top card from the other pile.

I noticed that too. If the user cuts to the 6, say "Since the odds are over six billion, let's not use the six" Place the six face down on the original pile and use the four as your face up card. Then you should be good to go. Other ideas are welcome.

@@KenMalone-xr5yc Another option is to show the 6 AND the 2 and use the difference between those two cards, that way you don't invalidate where they cut to.
