Jesus please continue to give me the strength to keep supporting myself and my two autistic children. Because I’m losing hope. My sons require so much from me because they are non verbal. Due to them having many issues in school, I’m homeschooling them. I’m a single mother. These past two years since covid have been hard on me. I lost my job at Forsyth hospital because I declined the vaccine. I have heart disease and I suffer from lupus that’s the major reason why I declined the vaccine. I’m waitressing and I’m grateful but I’m not making enough to make ends meet. Bills are piling up and I can barely afford groceries for my children. I feel like a failure. Every month is a struggle, and now that I’m homeschooling them my schedule is limited. I’m so overwhelmed and ashamed. But God gives me strength. I get harassed and bullied on this app for sharing my testimony and for asking for prayers but prayers are all I NEED. As christians we must have compassion towards one another so please be kind I’m already feeling defeated. BUT! Even as I struggle! I keep faith in God. He is the God of possible! I HAVE FAITH HE WILL PROVIDE! The only point of my testimony is “GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU!”🥹 Keep faith no matter what.

Father, i listen to you often but this has been the best homily I've heard from you. In a time when we feel homeless not only in the world but even withi the church, this is so poignant. It is so good to be inspired to look at even the church Herself with the perspective of Michelangelo. Rather than grumble about all of its flaws, all of tis brokenness, instead, look at Mother Church and our little broken community parishes as the angel trapped in the marble, ready to be set free, and pour ourselves into that work. Thank you, Father, for all you do and for this wonderful message!

Father Mike! My teenage daughters and I praise the Lord that he gave you such a gift to share different aspects of our journey to and with Jesus in your sermons with conviction, clarity and the nuance of a great tour guide who knows just where to stop and let us gather information and knowing and reflect before moving on with greater knowledge of ourselves in our weaknesses, and the strength of our savior to save us. Bravo and a BIG AMEN!

My favorite dialogue from Lord of the Rings: “Frodo: I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened. Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.” ❤ ― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings

Just extraordinary. There's no way for me to briefly describe how spot on and revelatory this homily is for me. It's like a laser beam going right to the heart of a core life challenge I've had for the past 30 years. My thought was that humanity insisted on pain and suffering through its rebellion against God, so God responded by giving suffering the potential for growth. I’m seeing it in my own life right now, as my body (which I have always tended more diligently than my soul) has begun to fail me in many ways. I have been unable to empty my hands of the temporal so that I can grasp the eternal, so the temporal is being torn from my grasp. This is a mercy from God, as painful as it may be.

Saint John 5:19-23 Jesus answered and said to them, “Amen, amen, I say to you, a son cannot do anything on his own, but only what he sees his father doing; for what he does, his son will do also. For the Father loves his Son and shows him everything that he himself does, and he will show him greater works than these, so that you may be amazed. For just as the Father raises the dead and gives life, so also does the Son give life to whomever he wishes. Nor does the Father judge anyone, but he has given all judgment to his Son, so that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

It can’t be serious what adventure? Many people are living in survival mode now. We have war in Europe and priests are burning alive in Afrika. Try to raise your head from your noble steak and try to look at the real world. Anxiety in many people's lives is almost unbearable. How many of your students have ptsd, depression ? Do you know them at all or do they have to wait until you have enough of fame and praise? ;)
