+DVMSteve What wall? Just go to Detroit & you can cross into Canada using the Detroit Windsor Tunnel or the Ambassador bridge. You can also take the ferry via the Saint Clair River. If driving into Canada, just make sure to have your toll in hand. If you are a US citizen, you don't need a passport to enter Canada. However, it would be wise to have it anyway, in case you change your mind & want to come back to the US. Because Canadian officials won't let you back into the US without a passport.

Speaking as a Canadian, PLEASE PLEASE DO KEEP KANYE!!! Also, I hear it's quite difficult to immigrate here. I tried to immigrate to the states 5 yrs ago... lived there for 17 yrs under a visa and gave up and came back. Not possible if you don't have an incredibly good job that will sponsor you, family who are citizens (can sponsor you) or don't want to marry a citizen. Those are the only ways! I grew to despise the US govt and am very happy I came back. Apparently, it's now almost as hard to come here as it is the other way around. Good luck.

Canada does health care that you don't pay for when you use it... but the question is: have you used it recently? it's terrible. I know many people on long waiting lists for surgery who need to right away.

Are you American, and just saying 'i know lots of Canadians'? Or really Canadian? Our system runs on doctor's discretion. Which means that they are free to prioritize people who really need care, without concern for profit. In other words, when you walk into a clinic and wave money around to get your wart removed, you still have to wait for the guy who broke his leg first. If that is a problem, well, you are always free to go break your leg. Or to fly to the US and wave your money around there. Think about it logically for a moment. Lines are created by people. If you are at the end of the line, you are at the end because there are other people on FRONT OF YOU. If you move forward in the line, someone else has to move BACKWARDS. So what you are really complaining about isn't just your spot in the line. It's everyone else's spot in the line that you are complaining about. And considering that line was sorted using the opinions of trained medical professionals, then probably you are unjustly wanting to push your way forward ahead of others who need it more than you. It's a very american way of thinking, to think only of getting ahead, and think nothing of those who are forced behind. Sorry, I wouldn't trade our system for the US system in 1000 years. Nor would any other Canadian I have ever spoken to in my life (seriously, never in my life have I met another Canadian who preferred American health care to ours). If you are a Canadian, then you are the exception, not the rule, in my perception.

I was born a Canadian and have spent 95% of my life here. Yes - I know several people on a waiting list. My mother has been on a waiting list sciatic nerve surgery - she was told that she needed the surgery back in February. It's now August and she still does not have a surgery date. We do have health care here over the boarder but it's seriously over loaded and is getting worse and worse.

Also to add... when I need to see a doctor, I go to a private doctor now because I'm so sick and tired of the BS service I get from the public system. Its probably cheaper here in Canada for private... usually when I go and they do some serious investigating it costs me $400-$500 to sort out the issue.
