So sorry to hear about your loss. It is hard. We lost a chicken a few months ago called Gertrude. I bought a couple of chicks in 2011 from a lady and she had a 1 year old naked neck turken that she didn't want and so she asked me if I would take her, so I did. Gertrude was 12 years old and was never a very good layer, but she was a constant and one of the first to greet me each day. It just seemed like she would be there forever. I always take solace in the fact that I give my animals as good a life as possible. I am going away in Oct. and it stresses me out having to leave my animals. Hope you have a great time.

Thank you so much ❤️ thanks for sharing Gertrude with us. I have always loved naked necks and thought they were full of personality and a joy to raise. It’s crazy how in life something can be there one day and give the next. Think of the good memories. We hope you try to not stress and enjoy your upcoming trip

HAHAHA!!! Thank you for your support. Apparently this video made a few people unsubscribe to our channel and they felt the need to publicly say that in the comments SMH. Oh well, don't need negativity like that, they probably don't love their pet chickens like you and us.

@@BockBockBouquet Chickens make great pets, I like the show birds, and I have connections to breeders who breed for a gentle temperament, and I am glad when I can help people find the chickens that are best for them.

you two are so sweet. I understand what it is like having lost a few. I lost my oldest rooster who it all started with back in 2017, this summer and he was truly a pet to me, I miss him so much. My heart is with you.

Sorry to hear about your girl, it's always sad when one leaves us, no matter the cause of death. I too have lost some chickens, yesterday I brought home 10 new chicks and while I was getting their brooder ready, one fell in the water before I had a chance to put the marbles in. I kicked myself all day, but I learned a very valuable lesson. And so, we move forward on this beautiful day to nurture and care for all of those that still our love and attention. Blessings to you both. 🥰🐥🐥🐥

Awww sorry about your little chick that fell in the water. Instead of the marbles in the waterer, we like to use a quail waterer which works amazingly well for raising chicks and it is impossible for them to drown. Here is a video we made on that kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqvXh4OOoN-BpqM

Love the first (Cuyuga?) duck getting in there right away. Our chickens aren't so nice to the ducks when it comes to food. We would enjoy a video regarding an outside sink. So very sorry for your loss. Dorothy was certainly loved. Safe travels!
@BockBockBouquet2 жыл бұрын
This outdoor sink is a must have for all chicken keepers so that you don't have to run inside to wash your hands every time. We just have to fix the faucet or buy a new one to create a video. Thanks for your kind words, we miss Dorothy so much!

Good Journey, Kids! Bet you can get folks to talk "Bock bock" a lot more than you used to, as you roll. I've been actually getting a kick out of turning political chat rooms into Chicken Gabbing! Peeps just looove talking about their flocks! (pun fits perfectly, yes?) Even threw The Salty Cracker for a loop last week! :D This was totally unintended, it just happened...Now I just like doing it.(muahahaha!) But, enjoy your time, let us know how it goes...oooxxx

Ah, unfortunately we didn't. We were just trying to enjoy our vacation since we were visiting family in the moment and not worry about filming. We do have a small compilation of little video clips we recorded with our phone that we might upload as a short.

I think the feeder is very good where can I buy it
@BockBockBouquet2 жыл бұрын
The feeder is to help keep squirrels, rodents, and other little birds from eating your feed. It's called Grandpa's Feeder and you can find a link to it in the description of this video! We have three of those feeders.
