Honestly Austin that Les Paul is absolutely amazing. That cross hatched tight striped flame is stunning. In my 25 + years collecting, researching and selling guitars I've never seen a flame like that. If ever there was a guitar to keep this would be it.

2007 was a good year for obscure models I guess. It took me ages to find the right catalogue containing a guitar I've owned since about 2009. Ibanez only made that guitar in 2007 and immediately stopped making the whole line.

At first glance what stands out is the pickup rings and pickguard. And I also like how they matched the headstock to the body. It would've blew me away if you started rapping on that first song. Until this video the best sounding Les Paul I'd heard in some time was my greenburst I recently purchased. I have to dial back the Seymour Duncan 59s in it to not overdrive my clean setting on my Spark bias. I noticed something to. The dot inlays are all that silver color except the one on the same side of the side markers. Those are a greenish brown color.

Very pretty LP 25 'Reissue', sounds great crunchy! I like those nice long individual pickup leads in this for wiring mods. The typical Gibson pickup 4 leads with MOLEX connectors have tiny 1/2" short wires. If you remove the MOLEX plug to solder the leads you have to strip the labels off the lead bundle to expose more wire which is really annoying and diminishes the pickup value even more than being stuck with a MOLEX plug.

I have a 2007 Gibson Les Paul Super Custom and Gibson have advised me that only 14 were made in 2007. I’m in Glasgow and a Gibson rep visiting Guitar Guitar in Glasgow appraised it last year saying it’s probably the only one in Europe from 2007. He said he’d worked for Gibson for 20 years but had never seen one in the flesh. He said when they were sold new the cost was 9 or 10 times that of an ordinary Les Paul Custom.

Can you at some point if you are able to do a video on the Fender Coronado. I saw in another forum that there is such a thing and I'm not familiar in the least with it. Way back when I was younger I'd seen a brand named Coronado but they were like a chessman. Not a brand as familiar to people who knew Gibson or Fender. But they had their own take on several models but nothing to go to court on.

The mini toggle switches tend to be a more delicate switch as compared to the push-pull style used on the pots. In any case, if you own a guitar with either style, get yourself 1 or 2 spares.

I use a product called Gorgamyte. It kind of feels like cloth, but I believe it's made from paper. Smells amazing. Like coconut. But it works really REALLY well for so many guitar needs. Polishing frets. Fretboards. Polishing your guitar. Cleaning tuners, bigsby, you name it. It's out of production right now, but my favorite shop carries a different version. If you'd like, I'd be happy to send you some.

Greetings Trog...There's actually a VERY good reason that pick guard is stained/finished equally front and back. As thin as that piece of wood is...if it is not finished equally front and back (same finish, same number of coats - applied at the same time...) the wood will eventually warp.

This is one beautiful. Brass nut should be a standard. GraphTech for shredders that want high mids. But brass allows the sustain, and keeps the higher frequencies that the Tusq and XL cut in order to keep the intonation. A good friend of mine has a "Lawsuit Era" ES-335 copy with all solid brass nut, bridge, and saddles and some uncovered hotter '57 pickups. It will give any 335 of any era a run for their money when it comes to tone.

A lot of commenters here seem particularly awestruck by the tonality of this specific guitar, it certainly looks the part of a wall hanger keeper for the museum, no doubt. But personally for me, I keep going back to hear more of those over the top metal tones of that black widow Les Paul with the purple binding that Troggly had recently featured here, that had been modified with updated active EMG pickups, I’ve shown that video to a few people and my buddies at the jam spot. I’ve long been exclusively a Fender hardtail Strat-Charvel based player who has slowly developed a unique hit or miss deranged improvisational guitar fusion style, over the course of 35 years of intently focused guitar noodling, mostly alone in isolation to impress myself while escaping severe chronic pain and the rigors of existence. Forgetting much of what I’ve relearned experiencing those 10-12 hour long marathon practice escapist sessions, until it comes rushing back to me, as I ride the coat tails of two astounding drummers that play synchronized, unfortunately my level of self confidence revolves in steep cycles. I have a reputation for revealing my genius and shortcomings all at once, being prone to either failing spectacularly in public and underwhelming the entire audience, appearing rusty in dribbling the ball off my foot out of bounds, while committing a series of technical fouls, at risk of ejection, or else if I’m warmed up and felling comfortable as all the vibes are realigning, I’m apt to go from under achieving and shooting a pathetic 5% point range from the field, to getting in my bag and suddenly overachieving in a red hot streak, shooting at a 95% from the field and just nailing my trick shots from the floor, hogging the ball jacking up like Iverson and SRV, turning on a dime, while driving the band like a Ferrari shifting through the gears of musical styles and genres with gated manual shifter, 7/8 time, operating between the silences, double time, astenado, 3/4 time, tempo change, building up tension, explosion, cut time, sending it backwards, inside out, hooks alluding to the change, scribbling all over the meter, grabbing the best, the editing out the rest reaching in real time, spreading my wings, in appearing to levitate right up off the stage, and nailing a 720 McTwist Tony Hawk move, right into a new move impossible to ever again recreate, subtle interjections projecting the rhythms out 30 seconds ahead, intensely listening for the best possible resolutions, forgetting to breathe, all while hunched over, escaping actuality, playing seated in a chair in some room, back on earth? Forgive the metaphor but, it’s like making love you could hit a grand slam out of the park every time your at the plate or you could lose it in 2 minutes, the trick is to not let the low or high points get all into your head, where it carries over to the next sessions, or you’ll find yourself walking around like some egomaniacal champion, or alternatively a depressed bum…LoL! I digress. My heavy metal playing style has long since mellowed out over the decades, and yet I fall back into it here and there. So now Troggly has me looking up modern access heel carved Les Pauls after being mesmerized with the heavy metal Les Paul active EMG tones…LoL…xD

Salutations Austin! Absolutely beautiful Les Paul! Is looks great and it sounds great too. I have an Epiphone 1960 Tribute Les Paul that has the same pickups and individual coil splits via push pull pots, and it sounds virtually identical, however it is not chambered and does not have a brass nut either. I really like the wood pickup rings and the flame maple 🍁 pick guard as well as the headstock. If you ever want to get rid of this guitar, please let me know, however, it will likely be quite a while before you find one in better shape and also a different, and more preferable color option, though.
