Being different will make you stronger. As an Asian person growing up on LA, I got discriminated by Latino and Caucasian people a lot. I ran a successful business for many years. Early on, my business wasn't doing too well. I know my prices were very competitive, even when I show potential customers I can saved them a thousand less then the competition. They were reluctant to buy from my store. I decided to hire exclusively only Caucasian salespeople, I know it's illegal in US, but either that or apply for welfare. The salespeople were not very experienced and not very clever at time. But at least, the customers don't walk in and immediately walk out like usual. Within couple months, I went from 250K to 1 million per year in sales.

Could you please inform your fellow Asians that the reason that they didn't get that offer from their Ivy League applications has nothing to do with AA. Now that it's been abolished thanks to Asians being used as a fig leaf, by these extreme conservatives.

He built a $1.4 billion company. It lost $1.2 billion in valuation after 1-2 years. He should also explain the drop in valuation. Very deceptive to leave this part out.

i think it is thought more like a podcast and the cuts make the listening experience pretty smooth. I also assume the video is a bit faster, like 1.03 times, for same reason.

A great founder, he storytells very well and I enjoyed him speaking. But, shame on EO for the misleading title. For some, we really want to learn about founders who come from non-traditional paths. This guy is just another Ivy League person who was always "plugged in". We need more stories from true outsiders who have created and grown successful companies.

The constant cutting to reduce the length of time between what he's saying is extremely annoying to watch. Fair enough some moments that may be appropriate, but doing it constantly, multiple times for literally every sentence spoken is absolutely ridiculous. Whoever chose this editing choice should really be made to rethink this bullshit, makes the interview seem so artificial

Speaking with a lot of survivorship bias, privilege, and arrogance. Working hard does not guarantee start-up success, and being an Ivy League graduate that worked on Obama's campaign when he was 15 helps way more than acknowledged.
