A Motorcycle Adventure: Tunisia - Ep. 11 Exploring Djerba (KLE 500)

Approfittiamo di questa giornata extra in hotel per riposare. Ci svegliamo con calma e dopo colazione andiamo a controllare le moto. Finiamo di esplorare l'hotel e troviamo un campo da bocce dove sfidarci, io ne esco vincitore. Dopo aver preso un po' di sole e aver fatto il bagno nella piscina riscaldata ritorniamo in camera e decidiamo di saltare pranzo per andare a fare un giro con le moto lungo la costa. Le moto senza bagagli sono molto più facili da guidare ma riusciamo lo stesso a trovare una strada di sabbia e fanghiglia che ci mette in difficoltà in alcuni punti. Arrivati al fondo faccio qualche foto ai fenicotteri rosa che camminano nell'acqua bassa e torniamo in hotel per cenare con l'ottimo buffet. Domani ci aspetta una lunga giornata di asfalto fino a El Jem.

Mitas e13 rallystar at the front and mitas e09 at the rear (we couldn't find e12 for 17"). The e13 is a really good tire if you are planning to do some offroad. You only have to drop the pressure under 1 bar on the sand

@@BudgetAdventureDiaries Nice! Do you think it would be possible to ride there with on off tyres like metzeler tourance neo? Also how did you get the bikes insured there? Thanks!

@@Dar7635 yes, you can ride there but you should avoid the sand or muddy areas like Chott El Jerid imho. But don't worry, there are plenty of nice offroad tracks made of hard dirt or rocks where you should be fine. For the insurance I cant help you because mine is valid also in Tunisia. However the cops never ask for the insurance so you are good even without it... And I'm not sure if you can trust tunisian insurances when you are in trouble
