Pingyuan Town is located in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province. It is surrounded by rolling mountains. The terraced fields within the town are a symbol of the local agricultural culture.
Pingyuan Town is home to multiple ethnic groups, including the Han, Hani, Yi, and Hui.
In this video, we have seen their unique architectural styles and tasted the local specialty foods. Of course, we also visited the mosque. hope you enjoy it.

Seems to me.. hui Muslim Chinese is a whealty community or something like that. They constantly renovate and upgrade their mosques. Some of their mosque even has elevator and lift. 😅 Wallahualam

The hui are not Chinese, but descendants of slaves who were forcibly resettled in China after Mongol Western expeditions carried out massacres in Central Asia and Iran. This included many women captured by the Mongol army and the offspring they bore after marrying Mongols and Chinese who became Dungans.
