B-lat I find if hard to fish zman plastics with punching/flipping and texas rigs. Because once the hook punctures through its tough to put it back in barb first. After 1 or 2 bites or punctures the bait profile just gets funky and causes inefficiency fishing it. As good as zman plastics is good for other stuff I find these baits really are tough to use in techniques like that.

Speaking of Zman: I went into my local tackle shop earlier this week looking for some ultralight gear. For a long time I've been wanting Zman to make some super slow falling baits for ultralight jigs. Well imagine my delight when they showed me an entire section of micro finesse baits and jig heads from Zman! Went out and caught several really nice panfish and a few big bass (for ultralight ~2lb). Can't wait to go after some crappie!

I’m a sucker for creature baits. I fish them often. “Gremlin” sounds life a solid name. Good luck with the process. I’ve poured some similar stuff in the passed. Unfortunately, my “creature style” baits never came together the way I wanted. But I successfully poured some very productive worms and grubs. Lol. Good luck B/Lat. I like the idea but the biggest factor to me is the legs. I think they should be more like the GOATZ and have a flange. Maybe even lets on the front part of the body.

yea dude, looks awesome !! I do enjoy jig's and doing some slower fishing. When it comes to Creature baits, i've not come across one that had too many "legs/arms" in the tails, and this looks perfect. cause when i pour my craws or the "Ginger Ninja" open pour, i'll take a sodering iron and melt tendrils or tenticals to add more movement and water disrupt. Wide tails are perfect, like single tail grubs, those tails are great for creature baits. But yea that looks like it'll be very great when you guys get it perfected !!

Looks like a dope little bait. Gremlin is very fitting considering it's a creature. I wish z man would clone some of my favorites that aren't very durable, examples are bellows gill from geecrack, bull flat from deps, and the flying squirrel from BBB. These baits have been lights out for me this year, they're all pretty much good for one fish though. Sometimes only a bite or two. Times are hard and at close to 2 bucks a bait (sometimes more than that) I can't always afford to fish these productive baits. If they lasted longer (nudge nudge wink wink @z man) I'd be all over them. B Lat let your boys know for me. 😎

I doubt you’ll read this but two cents on it as it sits right now… Profile: I like the beaver body but it’s kind of small for the limbs. Since it’s zman silicon, try blending brush hog and geecrack profiles… I.e. cylindrical center with beaver profile of several “gills”. In fact a true beaver style bait with gills like that in zman plastic alone is one version of a creature bait that’d sell. Imagine the action on a jackhammer for that sheww. 3.75” and 4.75” pls. Appendages: I see what you’re going for in terms of “flap” and “swim” from the thick protrusion and long curls. There’s a saying in engineering - “keep it simple stupid.” Not at all bashing on you, just think it’s trying to do too much in one. I’ve got like 10 ideas on variations but it’d taking sketches and long conversation not to look like a lunatic. Keep up the good work tho man. I love that you’re experimenting and you’re trying to provide true value to the customer. I’ll be rooting for ya 🤙🏻

Zman baits are an elastomer plastic. When you mix them with convenient baits the cause a reaction in the elastomer that cause the zman baits to melt. You have to store them in the original package
