I LOVE this! - I also went to look at the other one you have linked at the end of this one and honestly I see good in BOTH of these homes. If I could take a bit of this and that from both set ups I'd have the ultimate home. (Master bed/Bath - I like this layout),(Master closet I prefer the other layout only putting a sliding door IN the master to access it (Close off the wall in the bathroom). (Livingroom/Kitchen I prefer this one), (Pantry I prefer the other), (Kids bathroom I prefer the other). >_> Now I must draw this up and try to figure out how much it would cost me to do such a thing. I suspect the dehumidifier port drain id for exactly that, an appliance that’s kind of big, can look like a cabinet or piece of furniture. If the home was built to go to a higher humidity state a dehumidifier would be a good investment, that tells me that the home is well sealed once set up, and if the heat source, that hybrid generated a moister heat, the windows can sweat in the inside and cause damage, and mold & mildew.

You can get a 2 or 3 piece tub or shower surround meant to replace existing tub/showers designed to be retrofit. Once piece surrounds are usually only meant to be used in new built homes. But I’ve been in many mobile homes, and even regular homes, poor people aren’t replacing their tubs. lol. Tubs are almost always original and work just fine. People only replace them when they want something different not because they have to.

Cavco owns Fleetwood. Not affiliated with Clayton Homes. These are nice. It's a better built competitor of Tru Homes by Clayton. The walls are thicker, the ceilings are flat, the side walls are higher. You can upgrade the sinks in baths to porcelain and tubs and showers to fiberglass vs plastic, standard on Cavco. The Tru may have better insulation, be more airtight, and has vinyl wrapped sheetrock vs PAPER wrapped on Cavco. One thing I did notice is Fleetwood/Cavco uses a cardboard type material in front door between storm door and inside door...because the storm doors are left flapping, that cardboard is stained and rotting before the home is sold. Tru uses a plastic type jamb material that's more waterproof. SORRY, this went to wrong video. This is a Epic Series. They seem to have less defects than most I see. They use a steel tub in guest bath, plastic or fiberglass garden tub in master bath. I don't like the closet in bath with no door. Lol😂 at tub shower...they have to take the wall down. They had to do that on a Fleetwood in my park.

This varies depending on the situation - a mobile home removed from a lot or land, just sitting on its wheels will generally be worth a fraction of what costs new, but even this is not always true. Many of the used homes these guys are showing on this channel cost less (when new) than what the dealer is asking for them now, even 30 years later. When a mobile home is on a piece of land, or even in a rented lot, it's sold as real estate - and is subject to the conditions of the local market. For example, the neighborhood I grew up in is located in a very desirable town in southern NH; the recent transactions I've seen show homes that I KNOW were once worth around $10,000 selling for upwards of $150,000 just recently. These homes aren't even CLOSE to being financeable; they're being purchased by cash buyers who may be downsizing from larger homes, and have a few hundred thousand in the bank - but they want to live in that community, and it's still the cheapest option in the area.
@DeepSouthTechie14 күн бұрын
I bought my mobile home in 2007, it's never depreciated in value and has actually increased a bit along with my property taxes. Also according to Zillow my home and land has nearly tripled in value over what I paid. Probably the housing bubble but it's still kind of crazy.
