Exactly! The potential is there, and even more exciting since it’s going to fully integrated into a nondestructive workflow. But it needs more training as it doesn’t understand much about buildings, architecture, landscape, scale and more…

I had an experience about AI use on design process but interestingly I wasn't the one who used AI. Client came up with an AI generated image to tell his desires. It was one of the best to-the-point moment I had.

Amazing video as always! Adobe Firefly's AI is very promising. Btw, did you upgrade your mouse and keyboard? Ive been meaning to upgrade my keyboard for some time. Do you recommend the one you are currently using?

Thanks, Deevn! I did actually! Literally just upgraded. I got the keyboard Logitech MX mechanical (full size) and I’m loving it! I also got the mouse MX Master 3s, but I didn’t get used to it yet. I’m more fond of very light mouses and this one is bulk and heavy. It was tiring my wrist for some reason. So for now I’m sticking to the wireless Logitech gaming mouse that I use. There’s nothing special about it, but it’s light and comfortable. We’ve been updating our kit.co list with these new things. Feel free to check it out: kit.co/learnupstairs

@@LearnUpstairs amazing! Thank you for replying so quickly Oliver :) I personally quite like the mx mouse, mostly because of the sideways scrollwheel. While its also possible to scroll sideways in adobe programs by holding shift, I feel like it adds a bit to the overall experience and the ergonomics make me able to work through a bit longer in general I feel like. Its probably personal preference as it is in a lot of cases haha ;)

I know! It’s going to have a big impact… I feel that detailed and realistic images are going to be easier and easier to generate, but what will set apart the good work versus bad will still be the basic principles, you know? The content and purpose of the design still requires the human feeling (for now at least)

@@amalebowskye Hey Le, if you noticed I haven't yet done a video on AI, as all other creators have juiced this topic over and over again. It is an undeniable evolution, unfortunately, whether we want it or not. The way Adobe released its AI integration was a little bit "better" than what all other companies are doing. Still, not ideal and far from what I'd consider fair. I've been studying and thinking a lot about all of this... And if you watched the whole, you'd see how I didn't actually comply with all of this. But the video was about the new tool, and not me ranting about the AI evolution. You can have your dystopian mentality and criticize whoever touches this technology, or we can make an effort as a community and learn how to move forward with this. I highly recommend the book Life 3.0 by Max Tegmark if you want to dive into this. I might be completely wrong about all of it, the channel is just a form of expression and where I can share stuff. Thanks for adding your input to the comment section, and even though we disagree here, I'm open to all discussions, especially with someone that has followed my work for 5 years.

They are available but only on the Beta version. It should be up on the main photoshop release very soon. But the generative fill includes all of the tools I mentioned in the video

Hey Oliver I’m not sure if you know but the “e” in Adobe in English isn’t silent-it’s pronounced something like “a-dough-bee.” Kind of like how you pronounce the “e” in Nike too. It’s a bit counterintuitive with words like bike and globe having a silent “e” but it has to do with the origin of the words. It’s not important of course but just thought I’d point it out. you can use the generative background for boards, you can use a render and the just extend the size of the board and click imagine, the. you have a sky for your render then your board

now this is how AI should be USE.. with real work while helping you (THE DESIGNER) to make minor changes into your renders or other work ASAP. instead of rendering once again.. FINALLY someone got it correct.. All those Mid journeys. Leonardo. Exactly!! It is a tool after all! That’s what really bothered me with the whole Midjourney (and others) AI generators. The promise of replacing all creative work, but with no actual use in real projects. Adobe had still a long way to enhance Fitefly, but I feel we’re now onto something good.

It's powerful but the generative fill image is very limiting and so many things were considered sensitive are not being allowed by Adobe to generate and it is sometimes frustrating. Locally host stable diffusion with extensions (photo pea) can be if not as powerful... probably more powerful than Photoshop AI.

Hi, I have just completed my education and I am looking to apply in firms and most of the firms have 5 MB portfolio limit, can anyone suggest how do I reduce my portfolio size without loosing much quality. If I use adobe to compress my pdf, the quality lost is unbearable and the drawings become non-readable. Is there a way to compress without loosing too much quality?

Hey Abdullah, if you're using Adobe InDesign then when you're ready to export the PDF, you'll find a compression tab where you can play with the settings until you reach the size you want. But indeed 5mb is too little for an extensive portfolio. Usually, when firms ask for such a low file size, they are not expecting a 100-page portfolio, you know? So the trick might be to reduce the number of pages a lot and only keep the very best drawings and projects

For me. as a render desginer. Mid journey and the rest are FKN STUPID . they are a piterest with steroids. never liked them becasue they never got into my workflow. ( No ones workflow becuase they are just reference programs for you to get inspired) nothing else.. BUT THIS PSD AI. is something special... I have renders in my archive folders that am just a bit lazy to Re render again for some minor changes but with this .. OHHH BOY... I will take all my old renders out from the dusty folders and into photoshop to tweak them.. this is AMAZING!

Um, no. The users of this application still have to use their own creativity to actually make their creation look realistic. The AI just helps them generate things they needed in a much shorter time. It’s in beta version still! You need to download over the creative cloud beta area. That means not available for the cracked versions. Not sure if it will actually. Because it seems like it’s connected to the internet
