This may be a real powerful organizational tool for me. My SU asset organization has gotten to be such a scattered mess over the years that it is sometimes impossible for me to locate what I need. A retooling of this aspect of my SU workflow is certainly on the horizon. I wouldn’t have known about this new extension had I not subscribed to your KZbin channels years ago. I really appreciate your presentation of the editing functionality built into 5D+ Library. This is an interesteing plugin and I'll try it out. Does the materials option work with vray4skecthup materials?

This I don't know - it doesn't manage the PBR maps that I'm aware of, so I'm not sure exactly how that would work, or how Vray interfaces with the SketchUp material library. Honestly if you're using Vray materials, wouldn't you just use the Vray material library in SketchUp anyway? I don't think an extra tool would really be required

I'm not getting the paint bucket window for materials in SU 2022 but it does work in 2024. I this compatible with SU 2022?

This I don't know - that's not listed on the website, but it feels like something that might have to do with the version

Haven't decided yet - recently I've been using more of a "boneyard" concept for things like my cabinets - there's something about going into a SketchUp model and just picking up what I want, then copying / pasting it into a model that I'm finding helpful. I WILL be using the feature that creates materials from image files in a folder at the very least

@@Thesketchupessentials I have a huge library of both assets and textures but I'm not so sure that just simple drag and drop from windows explorer really needs upgrading. less related - I HATE dealing with skm files though! SKP deals with them so awkwardly importing. I prefer them as jpg. Separately, you should give gkware cabmaker another visit for your cabinets...

Yes, you can use this free, forever. 5D+ Material is my own library in my local drive and I have not share it yet. But you can create your own from images, please follow instruction in this video at 14:36.

I'm having trouble converting .jpg files to Sketchup materials (.skm). I followed the same steps as in the video. The folder I chose contains .jpg images. I get the message "Oops! There are no Sketchup materials here". Any ideas on what could be happening?

I think there might be an option to slow down the playback on the KZbin window if that helps
