Patch dropped on Halloween, the new patch drops just before Christmas. Maybe we'll end up calling this patch "The Nightmare before Christmas", haha

I think its cool that theyre listening and adjusting the stuff that most people find quite egregious, this patch has a pretty good vision imo, just executed quite poorly. I do hope this doesnt set a precedent that theyll more often just make changes and then walk them back really quickly after. Also unrelated but happy to see your channel hasnt gotten hacked like the other FGC channels, that was so out of nowhere lmao

Dizzy is still too fairly new to give her any type of major adjustments. But if the patch nerfs the damage and properties of the better characters, that already gives her a lot to work with. But even so, there are 2 maybe 3 changes that would improve her ability to play a ton: 1. Frozen State maxing Gravity and therefore meter gain needs to be fixed. Giving your opponent double your meter gain for most combos is what murders Dizzy's viability. Decouple Max Gravity and meter gain on Frozen state specifically. 2. Round start is miserable for Dizzy. Make fS 11 frames instead of 12 and/or buff the range a tiny bit on 2S and she won't have to retreat almost every single round start or after wallbreak. 3. If you hit with the first 2 hits of 5H, the third hit needs to be guaranteed. The amount of times the 3rd hit whiffs is criminal. Either remove the pushback on the first 2 hits and make the 3rd hit's pushback massive, or increase the 3rd hitbox's size. There are like a million other changes I would like, but would be too experimental or shift her into being potentially too good. (Mostly Hitbox/Hurtbox adjustments). But these 3 are things that would hit the ground running for her. Then we can revisit larger scale changes later when a major balance patch hits.

I 100% agree, she could really use these changes. In exchange, however, I definitely think they need to get rid of roasting chestnut spam. It’s super stupid and doesn’t belong on a zoner character like her, not to mention it is such a noob crusher strategythat the game doesn’t even tell you how you can beat.

Agree, but to add, her jumping normals seem to whiff crouchers except jK. Makes no sense for overheads to whiff on crouchers. Maybe they should fix that too or make it more consistent.

Thank you for wording it like this. I enjoyed the changes because they were fun, and I know they put in a lot of time and effort to make all the changes that they did, but they simply did not adhere to the vision of more interactions because base damage is so high. I honestly felt pretty bad for the team because they went and asked Twitter for their thoughts, and that rarely goes well when asking such a broad audience. People had uninformed, broad, and unnecessary changes, or just asked to go right back to season 3. I know change was needed, but i wouldn't know what to ask.

When you were talking about characters that need changes you didn't really go into detail on why sol, leo or axl need changes. I really ask because I wanted to hear some input on the condition of Leo Whitefang because I feel like literally nobody talks about him and as a Leo player I've been enjoying the changes made to him a lot while also thinking his nerfs were deserved.

I don’t think it necessarily needs to use more resource, but I think the fact that you can immediately cancel the stance into one of his specials is pretty powerful. Maybe let him cancel it into clone or roll, but don’t let him cancel it into focus or reload so he can’t immediately offset the resources he lost using the stance.

@@legulasbraine6115 It wasn't skill expression. It was a dumb input check because all his moves suck without it. You can't even do a basic level garuda into pot buster previously without a kara because pushback from the garuda prevents you from reaching if it hits anywhere in the gun blast zone. Now they are gonna bring back kara to give the pretentious morons who think plinking inputs is a pinnacle of skill something to self fellate on. Pot's about to enter hell because stupidity is a sin.
