It doesn't really have to be because of the engine. It's kind of not clear (and game even forces you to make a choice as to how to interpret it).

Vanir Dolos seems to imply that once he realized that the Vohle jump would cause a lunarclysm, he just let it happen, since he thought humanity was doomed on earth.

@@TheFuzzician Dolos and the space jews realized that something will happen to the moon which will destroy it. We left in the only window of opportunity they foresaw where we would not be rolled up with the UN and allow us to leave in "peace". Considering how the UN became space nazies overnight I wouldn't put it past them to have been behind whatever actually blown up the moon. Though the space illuminati and its AI could have been behind it too. Also the space jews who got to ze planet before us AND without the UN bothering them somehow AND without being killed by the rogue AI despite IT having access to the coordinates. So many opportunities for content patches. I wanna play the UN, the Piranesi, etc. And be victorious where they weren't~ Especially since at least 1 event affirms alternate realities as well.

Tip: how about not using a experimental FTL drive so close to earth or other celestial bodies and do a Vohle jump outside of the solar system edge. unless in lore somewhere it somehow still causes the lunarclysm

Thanks for the let's play, I enjoyed it overall. I think what bothered me the most was that they tried to keep what had happened in each system vague and mysterious, but at the same time you're constantly finding cryopods at these locations with people inside them who had lived through these vague and mysterious events - you could just ASK THEM WHAT HAD HAPPENED after you thaw them out. Sure you could try to fill this plothole by saying cryosleep erases memories or something, but the game explicitly contradicts this when the rescued crew from the second DOLOS ship and the big UN ship had animosity between them over events prior to going into the cryopods. Just seems like a really really obvious plothole they could have addressed while still telling the same general story.

I've never been as invested in a lets play before like I've been to this one. Absolutely loved every part of it and honestly feel empty knowing that its over. Just hope there will come another lets play along to fill the void. Bravo to both you for an awesome lets play and the developers for this captivating story and visuals! :D

That ending was so weird. We know for a fact that the air on Romulus is toxic - and yet it shows humans all bare-faced in the open celebrating as they walk to their new base. We also know that humans have often (particularly in this system) developed suicidally obsessive or delusional tendencies due to exposure to various elements. It makes me wonder if the ending is that sort of thing succeeding. We disable Eden, who is trying to protect us from ourselves (although her saying that the planet itself was a delusion wasn't a good sign for her trustworthiness). I need to play it again, to make note of which Council members ended up putting their brains into computers. I wonder if 'The Administrator' was the first human-to-machine prototype. The fraus-tachyon (spelling??) particles seem to be bad news for every human that encountered them, with that last planet having the science team 'descend to the gods' so I wouldn't be surprised if some or all of the original Council were also half-insane with delusions that became self-fulfilling prophecies after discovering these particles for the first time.

Great series! Not sure why they seem to rush the ending so much. I feel like could’ve definitely elaborated more on the piranesi in this final chapter kind of unceremoniously destroyed it. Also with all the great cutscenes it’s a shame we don’t get one of similar quality for the ending :(

I was wondering if you had a glitch. I got the 'suicide run the ship' quest at the same time as the 'build 20 ships and dump all humans on Romulus' quest but you only seemed to have the first one. When I played this chapter, I didn't realise the ship was moving extremely slowly towards Remus. I kept checking on it but it seemed to be staying still and not firing any weapons. Later I glanced up and it was right outside Remus. Whoops.

I did a second run to see if I could do any better... I only have been taking more and more time to finish.. 😁 All I wanted was making the perfect sectors and a lot of batteries for the end... Amazing game! 👍👍👍

I think the Remus mission was lost when you turn off the P.A. of the Tiqqun. Anyways, great playthrough 😊

It has been a good game, but it feels unfinished. The colonization idea was interesting, but all it does is provide science. I wish we could colonize more planets to establish a multi-planetary civilization. This game is at its best when you are managing everything and building up. I would like more scenarios, with interesting hazards like moving storm from chapter 2. The penalty for staying in a system should keep stacking, to force players to maximize the value of the time spent. This would also deal with the "science over time" upgrade, which is overpowered. This game has such immense potential.....

Agreed, actually having the choice to establish multiple colonies (instead of one, honestly kinda shit colony at the end) would be cool. But I guess, in a way, you do have that option. You can establish an advanced colony... and then abandon them. I might try that on my next go-through.

I think its cute how you thought the starvegans would want to talk to you after rejecting genetic assimilation into the cult. A pity after the game spent so many tries to push you toward that path with all their genetic conatus references. I am guessing the remus path ends with a bit more fanfare and flourish.

I think disabling Edden disbales communication with Remus? Not 100%, but disabling her required work on the *outside* of the station, which I thought was an odd choice for an AI supposedly compiling all info within the station. Disabling something on the outside suggests external arrays/communications was targeted...
