I’ve had every single iPad mini since they came out. I read books, magazines, keep notes on it, learn languages. It comes everywhere with me. I taught my parents how to use it to make videocalls and navigate the internet - they’d never had a connected device before, and it was so intuitive. I now have the 6 and my daughter has the 5 for schoolwork and entertainment, with a repaired screen. The moment that screen went again, I looked to find out when the 7 is out. It’s well past due by now! I hope the rumours are true and we’re getting it this autumn 😊

I would buy an iPad mini 7 immediately. I have had the mini since it came out and I am currently using the Mini 6, but I only bought the base model with 64gb, and I'm nearly full at this point, so I am looking forward to upgrading to the 7 with more storage. Of all the iPads that I own, the mini is by far my favorite.

The Mini is SO close to perfection. A brighter screen and updated chip - that’s all it needs to reach its final form.

They should make a IPad mini pro or iPad Pro mini with 120hz, FaceID , oled or at least 600 nits, landscape camera/ pencil pro,128gb base, M4, update the camera with Lidar… make the base non pro $350/399 (like I got it from Amazon for $380) and the pro $550/599 so anyone considering the iPad Air will consider this, and boost the base iPad mini because who (non tech people) would buy a smaller ipad for $50 more than the base.

@@JonAdamsTech yep it would make the best ipad ever like that I can have all the mobile games on the ipad and connect it to a 240hz (M4 chip) monitor with a controller (and use it for everything else) and not take space on my phone (pubG takes like 5gb…) [oh and the pro would have 10gbps]

I think the camera in the portrait set up for the iPad mini is the way to go. The small size makes the portrait orientation ideal.

I regret trading using my iPad mini for trade in and really miss it, I like my new iphone but having an iPad mini in my life is more important than I thought. I will only get the iPad mini if it gets a varaint of the A18, really hope it doesn't get anything older, we've waited long enough for it, it better get the latest A series at least. Hoping I can reuse my same apple pencil and folio case.

I worked at an Apple Store for about a year and maybe sold 2 or 3 Mini’s that I could remember. They don’t move as the bigger sizes.

I think apple is absolutely insane for not making a basic and a pro version of the mini…..an iPad mini pro would literally sell itself. If they’re gonna ditch an iPad line, ditch the air line. I see no purpose for an iPad Air. If I’m concerned about size / weight I’m getting a mini. If I want a larger display but don’t wanna pay for a pro, I’m getting a standard iPad.

It really needs an update. I wouldn’t even be opposed to the current gen but it’s still $820 (AUD) for old hardware and a downright scam of 64GB starting storage. And besides specific use cases, it is the best overall iPad size. Every other iPad is just too big. For some reason Apple started thinking in terms of footprint rather than display, so they just kept the same size as the old iPad’s and increased display size. Sounds cool in theory, but the noticeably larger 10.9”+ displays compared to the 9.7” ones means you have to hold them further away and that certain content no longer looks large-but-natural, but rather huge and distracting compared to a physical copy (books and manga in my case, as well as many mobile sites).

I have the 5th Gen iPad mini and I don't think I'm going to buy anymore iPads period. Done with them. I'll just use my Pro Max. I don't find that I use the mini that often anymore so won't be wasting my money on the next one. Thanks.

Apple has excellent palm rejection technology as evidenced by their trackpads. They’d simply apply that to their iPads if they shrunk the bezels. It’s absurd that the bezels are that thick on the iPad Mini. Apple is simply too cheap these days with their product updates.
