Have the first gen LSX's and they are exceptional speakers. Use them as a pair of computer speakers mounted on the wall bracket that is designed for these either side of a large monitor and they really pack a punch for there size. Sound so clear, still to this day always love turning them on. Look forward to seeing how these fair as I think they are largely similar sound wise + the gloss red is so nice!

Ridiculous how good these sound on their own, pair with a sub and it's game over! I have heard complaints about the app in the past but I believe Kef have improved the performance of that also! Top draw from Kef, these are great as computer speakers, in place of and I believe better than a two channel sound bar up to even use as your main music producing thing in your house!

Thanks! I just set them up on my desk for burn-in and they’re definitely smaller than the LS50s. 🙂 Not sure on sound quality yet.

I suppose it would compromise the design, but a speaker grille would protect the driver from accidental damage.

Wow! This a is a hard question for me because they are two different price categories and different features. If money wasn’t a factor, I’d go KEF because I really like the LSX but if money is a factor then Klipsch because those are also good but I do think the LSX is better. Hopefully this helps.

The HDMI ARC on these is kinda disappointing, up-to 1.44Mb/s PCM, which is basically 16bit 44.1kHZ

The designs are similar but the LS50 wireless II (I reviewed a few months ago) have a little bit more tech like 12th gen uni-q vs 11th gen in this series. Does that make a huge difference in sound quality? I’m not sure yet.
