Tbf for everyone hating on this chapter, I feel like they’re not entirely wrong. Firstly this chapter came out 2 months late, so people were already hyped for something that blows their mind.Then they got a chapter that’s super short and doesn’t even focus on the current arc. I understand why people are angry since this is just a really nice out-of-the-place chapter and doesn’t match the current story and vibes. Also disliking a chapter doesn’t make someone a ‘toxic fan’.

Warning: I wrote too much 💀 Basically what I said Is just i don't hate the chapter just disappointed. Expected the focus of "The Ninja Village Arc" aka EV and Blast. Im a bit disappointed to see this latest chapter of "One Punch Man" its litterally only 7 pages long. What’s even more weird is this sudden shift back to the Neo Heroes arc. Wasn’t the primary focus supposed to be on the Empty Void and Blast? Don't get me wrong, I’m thrilled to see Suiryu again-he’s a great character, especially after how much he’s grown to admire Saitama. But it feels strange to have him reintroduced this early in the story. Something feels off to me behind the scenes. If you recall, the last time we dealt with a situation like this, it literally involved uncertainty around these two arcs, the Neo Heroes arc and the Ninja Village arc. We almost lost the entirety of the Ninja Village arc since Murata was telling us the news. Now, it seems like One and Murata may be facing similar challenges-perhaps losing focus or dealing with stress over the overall narrative since they have taken a 2 month break. This wouldn’t be the first time there’s been trouble with the story writing, particularly with these two arcs in the manga. Given that the MULTIVERSE was confirmed in the last chapter, it’s clear One and Murata have something big in store for us. But in my opinion, shouldn't they concentrate on finishing one arc at a time? Jumping between the Neo Heroes arc and the Ninja Village arc is disrupting the flow of the story. These arcs are meant to be separate storylines, not blended together. Y'know what maybe One and Murata just missed Suiryu, and wanted to bring him back. I missed him too ngl! and Suiko. I've waited 2 years to see her again in manga form. She's got potential in both the manga and Webcomic. She's my favorite female character in OPM afterall. Horray shes back! Anyways, as I was saying about Suiryu. If they’re going to bring him back into the manga this early on, they should at least give his reintroduction some purpose. Maybe have him cross paths with Saitama again, even if it’s something as simple as them meeting over a bowl of udon with Manako that would actually make sense and not disrupt the story! Since Saitama was literally heading over there to do that. Sigh, trying to handle these two arcs at once raises some clear red flags for the story. It could even ruin the impact of both these stories. I hope One and Murata find a way to resolve this without compromising the overall narrative. In my opinion, if were going to fix this mistake, One and Murata should just redraw this chapter completely to either 'Empty Void vs Blast' and focus on The NINJA VILLAGE ARC or 'Suiryu running into Saitama and Manako." Sigh, At least Webigaza looks adorable...glad we finally see her drawn by Murata. The only thing I wasn't disappointed about 😢

Let's take into the account that Suiryu's first appearance in the webcomic was when he's joining Neo Heroes. His FIRST ever appearance. It's a question of how's he gonna fit into the story because of the many changes from the webcomic, but I'm glad they kept the original intact since the storyline in both is not in order. It's a great thing that One is there to help Murata to improvise the storyline while keeping it all faithful to the original.

@@NoodleSauceSpicy I know, but some OPM fans have very low tolerance and are quick to complain about pretty much anything. Nowadays I don't see it often, but the sheer amount of webcomic-only fans that would complain about every single MA chapter was astounding. They were SO many and they would complain about every single thing, even though they didn't even like the manga nor consider it cannon, and only read it out of spite because the webcomic was in a hiatus. Trying to go into the OPM subreddit was hell, the moderators had to stop people from commenting about the webcomic in the manga chapter threads, and created an specific thread for webcomic readers to discuss(complain) the latest manga chapter. After going through that, I can't help but lose my patience whenever people complain for minor reasons. Most of them don't even buy the manga, read it for free online and still complain as if they're consumers. The audacity.. (Not that you're not entitled to have an opinion if you don't buy the product, but there's people genuinely offending and attacking Murata, some even saying he's lazy. That's a bit much)
