Thanks for watching me! :D I don't know what systems you play on, but Rayman 3 is fairly easy to access on PC and any XBOX console (backwards compatibility), and that's a great game to jump into if you wanted to (or wait until this next game as there's a solid chance it will be Rayman 3 related haha) Otherwise, Rayman 2 (my favourite one) is available on PS1, PS2, N64, and Dreamcast if you're more of a retro gamer :)

I'm gonna be that guy and say, boy wouldn't it be nice to have what Contra got, a game collection that houses literally every iteration, but for Rayman 2 and its comically varied ports, if a remaster/remake is too much of a cost! If the collection does well or does enough hype, maybe a return to prioritizing our favorite platformer would be possible? Astrobot, Spyro and Crash all made big modern splashes, even the port announcement for Gex 3d games and its hype, if only Banjo & Kazooie and Rayman could be among them:)

According to several sources, they're perhaps working on multiple rayman projects. So after a remake, that could be either 1 or 2, Rayman 4 could be a thing. Even a rayman 3 remake is in the talks, but take this all with a grain of salt 🙏🏻 Only thing I definitely know is that something will happen. Just happy that my boy is finally back!

honestly, minecraft stayed alive for 20 years by updates (counting the first version), and rayman's last game/update is almost 12 years old (i dont even know how old rayman is yet it still is alive) (sparks of hope is 2023 but it is not centered around rayman only a dlc, im talking about the games centered around it like origins or legends), so if a game stays alive for THAT long, it deserves to have a new game/remake

I'd be really interested to see what the majority of people want out of a Rayman 2 remake. Like if they want a 1:1 remaster or a reimagining. I'm probably in the minority of kind of wanting the latter, not crazy different and with the same soul and tone, but with levels spruced up with a bit more variety - not because I don't love the original, but because I adore it so I've played it so much that adding something to it would be interesting for me. I'm interested in others' thoughts on this

Hell yeah! Rayman 2 is my childhood game! I've completed it 100% countless times. Played most of the ports. Heck, even did speedruns on the PC version. I've gone back and played the original Rayman, and loved the action packed Rayman 3. In my opinion Rayman Legends is still one of the best games ever based on the amount of gameplay you get (basically the main story and all Rayman Origins levels with Rayman Legends smooth controls). Currently super excited for the fanmade Rayman 2 HD by Newdawn Games and also the Rayman 4 prototype that was leaked and modders are still working on. Ubisoft really let us down in the past decade. A new entry or a remake/remaster, doesn't matter but Rayman deserves another entry! I've been waiting for 11 years for another Rayman game. I can wait another 2 if that's what it takes! ❤

My theory is Ubisoft will create their first franchise using 3d software. Despite Rayman 2: The Great Escape being their biggest import across all platforms, they can't just skip onto the 3rd game Hoodlum Havoc. Of 12 developers according to your video they got to act quick or else they start pushing back for working on the Rayman's 3rd Sequel. Ubisoft and western marketing are two different things. If they can make a successful business approach on their first game then, they can work on the 2nd sequel like a snap saving time then onto the third.

Good stuff! I'd say it is a safe bet it will be Rayman 2 since it is insanely popular! Rayman 2 is one of my favorite 3D platformers from the late '90s! I would love to see it remastered! I'm curious which version the remaster would mirror? Would it keep elements from the N64/Dreamcast or would it lean more towards some of the changes they made in Rayman 2 Revolution on the PS2? Rayman 1 is a beautiful game, but the game just can get frustrating. I'd rather stick with playing Rayman Redemption if I want to play the first game. Rayman 3 was pretty good, but it felt like it was all over the place and and not as consistently good as 2. It felt like a bit of a step back from 2 in nearly every regard.

I think we need a Rayman 4 in the form of a reboot that’d simply be titled “Rayman.” Any remake of an older title would only be competing with itself. Why should I buy the remake when I could buy the original on PC through UPlay for $1.99 on sale or just download it for free off a ROM site? Also, idk about those abuse allegations levied at Michel Ancel. Unless we have specific allegations and evidence that at least suggests such abuses did occur under Ancel, I wouldn’t put much faith in those “abuse” claims. In some cases, the “coming forward” stories are legit examples of abuse, but sometimes women lie and exaggerate just to either smear a guy they have beef with or because they love having a victim complex.

As awesome as a Rayman 2 remake would be, we already got the best version in the form of Revolution, but even if that wasn't the case, I want a rerelease of 3. 1 and 2 have had multiple releases on later consoles while the majority of Gamecube games (Not limited to Rayman) have been ignored for ages. It's only been in fairly recent years we've finally started getting GC games on modern consoles, so it's high time Rayman 3 got a modern release, especially since the closest we got to that was the GBA version which was more of a 2D remake of Rayman 2 with some elements from 3 added.

The "first Rayman" was agonizingly hard though I do love the OST and somewhat of the art. I still think it should go 3D like Rayman 2(released 3D versions referring to) though if it has to be original and being a trilogy remaster please for Rayman sakes rewind feature because cheats is a slog and collecting everything is a slog to beat a slog game. Rayman 2 if remake heck it's controversy which version should be or cram them all in a definitive version, idk Rayman 2. Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc remake this idk. I think it's fine.

im hoping it's a rayman 2 remake too, my dream thing would be a full trilogy remake ala crash but putting rayman 1 on PSN via emulation, then a rayman 3 anniversary rerelease and then a full rayman 2 remake would still be good. im just wondering how much of rayman revolution will make its way into rayman 2R. i could imagine they would just nix that because ancel himself gave his blessing to the dreamcast version, idk what he thinks of revolution, but i also think they might try to rework rayman 2 into more of a seamless open world game and the upgrades system is more in the vein of a modern ubisoft gameplay loop also lost crown didnt sell well i think because of its high price tag. it was like 50 bucks and had a digital deluxe season pass edition as well i think? that turned off people who like those kind of 2d metroidvanias, as theyre used to something like hollow knight which is 20 dollars, but then the average gaming audience doesnt want to pay full price for a "mere 2d game". i also think the issue is that PoP's identity to the masses is as a 3D, cinematic parkour game with some swordfighting combat. people who say they want another PoP probably were like "well that's not a Sands of Time 4 so i dont care". even tho PoP started as a 2D game its pedigree as a 3D game kinda fucked it

There was no rumor about a cancelled Rayman game. However there was misinformation being spread about Rayman developers being let go from the company, which wasn't true. It was based on a news article which used poor wording to describe the situation and caused big Rayman accounts on social media to spread information which wasn't accurate.

they might have it in development...but with the current state of ubisoft itself, poor sales in general,dwindeling stock,reputation crumbeling like a rice cookie, buyout conversation on the table....i still doubt we will see the final product , they cancel it to save money. im fairly certain, if Assasins Creed shadows that suposed to come out next year does not good in sales i would argue Ubisoft is done for if nobody buys the company up, they would have a entire year of failure. And just juding by the controversys surrounding the game already, from disrespecting japanese culture ,disresspecting a death memorial ,disrespecting the intelect of the cutomer claiming its "historical coorect" until somebody point out inaccuarys in bassicly every area down to natures sesonal circle, then backtracking and saying its "fantasy". what ever the controversy is surrounding YASUKE. I would say the game is hated already.

If you can figure out what a game is from the codename, it's a terrible codename. A team I used to be part of used wrestlers and stationery for codenames. Still had some silly things there like a game being called "Hogan" and the DLC being called "Hollywood". People seem to want to attach meaning to codenames even though they should do the exact opposite. Also give me a Rayman 2 remake.
