The partitioning makes great sense. It separates data from the OS and apps and makes for more efficient backup and imaging strategies. I've used this kind of thing for at least 20 years. That USB type A power delivery issue is most worrying and indicates lack of quality control, which makes it a non no from the off. And that single channel memory, what ere they thinking? At this price I would easily go for the GMKTec M6 instead.

Great review as always! I prefer that the RAM is just a single DIMM, makes it cheaper to upgrade, which I'd do anyway.

WTF were they thinking putting a single-channel stick of RAM in a $300 mini. I am reminded of how well-built the plastic Beelinks from a couple of years ago were, and those models are still available. AMZN US has the metal-bodied 5800H (a far more capable CPU) for about $250.

We've seen a lot of N100 minis, would be interesting to have one of them on the charts as well. Highest price for N100 is around $250 which is pretty close.

The Blackview MP80 w N97 is much better value for $150 off amazon.

yes there is a point to partitioning your main drive......the idea is that you store your data and the drivers you may need on the 2nd partition so if windows needs to be reinstalled you dont loose your stuff.

Nowadays, Windows has a refresh/reset feature that will reinstall it in place without removing user data.
@GordonSeal5 ай бұрын
@@enihi But that is just a refresh, not a real clean reinstall, which may be necessary. A refresh will not clean up your windows and all the unwanted files.

That's an old approach. Now you can do anything over usb drives.

Can you please review the mac mini m4 when it comes out. Love to know what you think about it

Actually i always use C: around 250 gb for OS and D: for everything else so this looks pretty good for me. But single channel ram is a no go !

Is that mini pc good enough in a dual setup streaming with OBS Studio on it?
@TrusteftTech5 ай бұрын
Why don't they give the option to choose 1x16 / 2x8 ? Most of these companies. Also, seriously I believe the name of this mini PC is going to hurt it. I am constantly thinking of Intel N100 systems when I see the name of this mini PC written. Thanks for the video.

What motherboard on this miniPC? Where i can find info about it? PowerBox mini 32 GB RAM vs BlackView MP100 16 GB, what's the point?
@avidwriter28825 ай бұрын
So you'd have to get the 32GB model or get your own ram to make this worth it.
@enihi5 ай бұрын
You might have some RAM lying around from an old device that died or you are upgrading from.
@smartcam17015 ай бұрын
Not worth it. A few more bucks you'll get a beelink 6900hx with radeon 680m.

What is max capacity of m2 disks ? If I would like to install second ? Then there is limitation for max 2tb for 2.5ssd yes ?

Storage limitations don't exist. Don't know why they write that there is for these minis.

No, the Raspberry Pi can't even keep up with an Intel N100, let alone this CPU.
