You are very good at reviewing Josh. Great details. Please keep it up. Would be excited to see you do other reviews in the future and older tools like the neversink zipper, rebellion or farmers friend flameweeder etc. Keep up the great work

Thank you. I enjoyed doing this review. I can't just go out and buy tools to review them though. If people send them to me to review and share, I'd be happy to do that.

I had two issues with mine. 1) the part which holds the tool in lost its ball inside and would no longer hold the tool 2) one of my wires snapped where they tighten them down. Kind of hard to use in harder souls, but I like the fact that it doesn’t damage any plant if you run into it.

Thanks for sharing your reviews on both! We are in the market for some new hand tools this season and that was very helpful. :)

The price was way higher, in my memory, when this came out... Happy to see that they are more "realistic" today^^

Saw demo last month I was thinking why not put heads on both ends of shaft and not have all the parts clanging around on your belt while you work. Maybe wire on one end and co-linear on other. Just flip the shaft around in bed if needed.

U could wrap a rubberband around the ends of those attachments..that would keep them from slipping off the hook. Just an idea ?

Lower price than the Cadillac model. You could take a pair of vice grips to pinch the metal to hold the wire tighter on the Cadillac model. You could also just buy the wire heads, and mount them on an old Leaf broom handles you have.
@willchoate7072

OMG. I went to the site to see about ordering one. Almost $39. But not outrages. Then I realized that it only comes with one wire thing and doesn't even include the wood handle. Or shipping costs. I suppose some people need the latest most up to date cool tools. A piece of heavy steel wire or steel strapping and a couple of metal hose clamps. A broom stick and you're good to go. Make any shape you like put them on broomsticks and you don't even have to do the changing. Anyone handy enough for gardening should be able to look at this video and make their own. I understand people have to make a living but geewiz guys. You should at least give the old folks and veterans a break.

Would love to support new ideas. But when they try to gouge the customer, I just laugh and turn away. A $1 piece of wire and some hardware.

Vanderlynden Jengold How are the rats affecting your garden? Are they eating your crops?
@VanderlyndenJengold
@VanderlyndenJengold 3 жыл бұрын
@@agdayem I keep chickens and rats are taking their food and digging tunnels. They have eaten growing beetroot and other crops and stored vegetables and gnaw through anything they chose. It's the same every winter whether I have chickens or not, I get rats. I'm not a fan.
@agdayem
@agdayem 3 жыл бұрын
Vanderlynden Jengold Interesting... I don't have experience with them in my garden (yet) and hope not to in the future. Wondering if you found any ways to get rid of them? Also why do they appear in the winter and not summer?
@VanderlyndenJengold
@VanderlyndenJengold 3 жыл бұрын
@@agdayem In summer food is plentiful. Less so in winter. I employ target-specific avenues in killing them; lockable bait boxes designed for rats. I also build my own. I don't want to kill wildlife, yet rats. slugs and other pests can be troublesome. For instance, I have avoided a wasp nest all year. I create habitat for insects, birds, bats. I feed birds and hedgehogs, I plant for polliators. I leave as light a carbon footprint as I can. If rats weren't so destructive and spread less disease I'd live in peace with them too.
@agdayem

Vanderlynden Jengold I'm sure you'll have them out of your garden soon with those tactics.. Good luck mate..

I had problem hoeing with the traditional dutch hoe and bought a stirrup or oscillating hoe and it saves me so much time and effort. If they are too expensive try and make your own. I think they are worth the money in the long run though.
